Chris was very friendly, very thorough, explaining his view on the Simonton 5500 series of windows. He also explained how each day would be performed, and that he would do the job as replacement windows, since the Reflexions series can be installed either with the nailing fins as new construction or replacement windows without the fins. He also explained that if we requested, he would help us put back all our window blinds, rollers, etc, and that each window would be thoroughly cleaned by them before they left. Unfortunately, his quote was more than $1000 higher than another A-rated (Angies list and bbb.org) installer; the other installer not only proposed doing the installation as the more labor intensive new construction install with the nailing fins, but also included in the price replacement of two very difficult to access picture windows, including one that probably weighed 800+ pounds. The other installer also agreed to cover the additional expense of any windows local regulations required to be upgraded to tempered glass AND was willing to replace our old window sills (which were builder's grade clipboard-type material that had been damaged by moisture) for just the cost of the material. I informed Chris that as good an impression as he left, I could not proceed with him. He even offered to utilize a special Simonton discount plan where the consumer could try to negotiate the window price with the manufacturer. So really, kudos to Chris for trying to be as accommodating as possible. In the end, I felt that had I proceed with him, he would have done a thorough job and left my house as clean as could be. But his price was just too high.

Christopher is a fantastic person and very responsible contractor. We first worked with Christopher's Windows 12 years ago when we moved to our current location. We had several bids by contractors, as well as two home centers; based on an "apples to apples" comparison, Christopher's windows was more cost efficient by far than all other estimates. Consequently, after all bids were received examined we chose Christopher's windows and selected the brand they recommended. The date and time for installation of the windows was scheduled and Christopher and his partner arrived early, ready to remove the windows and install the new ones. Everything went smoothly, without major disruption and fast. They removed all debris and completely cleaned all work areas. We have received compliments on our windows ever since the original installation and have had no leaks, cracks or problems. Over the last 12 years Christopher's Window's have followed up every year, sending holiday cards and always prepared to answer questions and ensure the windows continue to function properly. There have been no issues since the original installation, nevertheless, Christopher personally followed up yearly to check on our satisfaction with the windows and made clear he'd be happy to adjust any window if there was a problem even 12 years later...for free. However, no problems ever occurred. Last week we had Christopher's team replaced the 12 remaining windows for the side and back of our home. Again, everything went well, was done without delay or complication. They removed the old windows and all debris, installed and sealed all new in windows in less than a day. The bottom line: our opinion is that they deserve consideration in any window or door installation. They will not sell you something cheap that will cause problems as soon as the work is complete. Rather, they will sell you a quality product that will last many years and will do so at a fair price. They're window recommendations were based on our preferences as well as their decades of experience. They truly desire to provide the best product at a price point that works for the resident. They take pride in their work and stand by it. They're focus is residential, their commitment to every client is real. If you find a cheaper install, check the product, as it is likely a lesser quality. If you insist on a different brand, they will try to make it work as their objective is to meet your expectations within the budget you can afford. My family and I highly recommend Christopher's Windows and hope you consider them for your next window and/or door installation (they also do sunrooms!). BTW, this is my first recommendation for Angie's List; I felt Christopher's team earned it.
