Jamie and Mike Canfield are wonderful. We had an emergency and they were the only ones to immediately respond. Jamie came within a day to have a look at our problem. The job required ingenuity and creativeness and he is well supplied with both. The problem, hidden rot in a log home, proved to be much more extensive than we thought. Jamie and brother Mike figured out what needed to be done, took the required steps to remediate the problem, and did the job carefully and well. They are totally professional, careful, considerate, consultative, and inventive. They are craftsman who know their field, have extensive experience with log homes, and know how to solve problems. On top of that they are very personable and genuinely nice! It doesn't get any better than that. These are the go to guys for log homes! I rate them 15 out 10.

From start to finish it was a very good experience. I would highly recommend Canfield Construction. Very fair, honest, and meticulous to details. No surprises. If you are planning to have your log home stained we would highly recommend you have Canfield Construction provide you an estimate and give you all your options. FYI, they also build log homes.
