When my Lansdale PA town gave a half-day notice threatening $1,000/day for snow on sidewalk, all the Angie's List service providers near me were overbooked from the blizzard. So I called my local house oil supplier Walton's, who have even sent plumbing help in the past, hoping they might know some individuals in addition to the commercial service I asked their receptionist who Walton's uses. Her son Nathan has this landscaping service that also helps with snow removal, and though all his trucks had gone home by the time I called him & he promptly answered, he gave me a next morning 8AM appointment on standby if I couldn't find someone that evening. Rather than take the chance on greedy govt there early, my local plumber John Heckler's son brought a snow blower & shovel that evening and for the going rate of $100, cleared our 95' front sidewalk & tried driveway but too deep. So I called Nathan back today to tell him I'm posting him on Angie's List and to ask how much notice he needs for the driveway if weather not clear it soon, he said not too much notice needed, & I asked next time one of his trucks are in the area to give me a quote for the driveway. He may get busier after posting him on Angie's List but for now I didn't see a website. I like smaller local outfits often more responsive, available, & accommodating including price I'll post later after his service.
