Highland Animal Hospital

Veterinarians,

About us

In June 1987 Highland Animal Hospital opened its doors for the first time. The practice grew faster then we ever expected and in September 2009 we moved into our new building. We went from 3,000 square feet to 8,000 square feet, 2 exam rooms to 7 exam rooms plus many other improvements. We attribute the rapid growth and success of Highland Animal Hospital to our dedicated hard working staff and hospital philosophies because simply satisyfing our clients is not enough. We must exceed their expectations!

Dr Weber was very helpful and cured my piggy by prescribing her some drops. The facility was very nice and spacious and the rest of the staff was very helpful too. The charges were a little high, but the care great. I then considered changing my dog's care to this practice and brought him in to get an estimate for the removal of some growths. The estimate was three times as much as where I currently take him! We will be staying with our current vet for our dog.

My 7 year old Boxer has a low thyroid so we have to go every 6 months to check it,which means them taking blood or what they call a
T4. I have been going to Highland Animal Hospital since he was a puppy and i wouldn't go anywhere else. We normally see Dr. Adolf for his once a year check up and the technicians have also taken his blood.Everyone there is always friendly and helpful and Dr. Adolf is wonderful and takes his time and my dog loves him.

The cost involved was for 2 office visits, a full battery of tests to determine if my cat (Maggie) was suffering from cardiomyophy and to have her euthanized. On the 16th of Oct Maggie passed a clot which paralyzed her 2 hind legs. After calling Highland and speaking with one of the vets on the phone I brought her in and because she was suffering too much I made the difficult decision to put her down. I'm a cat person. I've rescued many cats and have been to many many different vets. I recently moved to the area and fortunately I found Highland. I've never in all my life (I'm 65) met a more compassionate, competent group ( the staff and doctors) of caring "animal care givers". I can't say enough in praise of them and I can't thank them enough. I'm sooo happy that I found them when I did and my "furry little ones" are happy too!

This establishment is the most caring and conscientious provider for veterinary care that I've seen in over 50 years of pet ownership. When our "Big Jake" was aging, they took good care of him. When he declined suddenly on a Saturday morning, we knew we could not transport our 140 pound friend to his "Doc". Dr. Lowe and an aide made a special visit to our home, on their own time, and helped us ease his passing. Highland is now helping us through the aging process with Jakey's buddy, Dingo, and we know we'll have the best of care for him, too. Always easy and quick to find us an appointment, pleasant and friendly helpers, knowledgeable docs--we love this place!
