Marshall Services is a local, family owned company located in Skippack, PA. We do not use subcontractors. All service technicians are fully trained. For a small trip fee, our expert will arrive at the home and diagnose the problem, then tell you what the repair costs before we do the work. We will come out give you choices for replacement of your old equipment, to new more energy efficient systems at no charge . We have fuel programs to protect you if the price of oil goes up, or down. for angie's list customers, we will take $ 25 off any repair for trying us during our first visit. Service expert BEN arrived at our home at the expected time. Punctual, thorough and just a nice guy to work with. Analyzed our heating problem, gave us the diagnosis and set up the next appointment. In addition he performed what I call a miracle by getting our under-cabinet kitchen heating unit to work - after about seven years of it being dead and misdiagnosed by other HVAC services! Definitely recommend!!!!!

One of their technicians backed into my brick retaining wall. Thousands of dollars to repair. Although the said they would pay for repairs, they have given me the run around for months. I finally had to file in small claims court. Find another oil delivery company because their customer service is nonexistent.

We received very quick and excellent air conditioning service at a good price. Marshall Services sent a troubleshooter to our house the same day we called them. He diagnosed the problems with our A/C system and explained how to fix them. We agreed with the troubleshooter's plan and gave him a deposit. Two days later, Marshall delivered the new parts to our house and Marshalls’ installation team installed our new and upgraded system, which is now working very well Our air conditioning system failed during a heat wave on Sunday, June 6. On Monday, June 7, we called Marshall Services and they immediately responded. They sent Marshall's expert A/C system troubleshooter and estimator, Bryan, to our house early Monday evening. He went through the entire system, both inside and outside. He thoroughly explained to us that the system wasn't sized and installed properly, and was beyond repair. His plan was for Marshall to install a new outside condenser, inside coil and thermostat that would provide better cooling than the old system. We agreed with his plan and gave him a deposit. Marshall’s office finalized the plan, scheduled the installation, and kept us informed by telephone and email. The installation team and the parts arrived at our house early Wednesday, June 9. George led the team and did all inside work. He was assisted by Dan and Anthony who did the outside work. The installation was very professional and the new A/C system is working very well, much better than the old system, even when it was originally installed.

No idea how this company has an "A" rating. This company is completely unprofessional. On 8/4 there was a storm which caused leaking into my bedroom through a light fixture. Immediately I went on Angie's List and found a roofer who came out in the storm to check the roof and found the problem to be a bathroom vent pipe on our roof and he advised us that we would need a plumber to come out and snake out the clog. Once they had left, again on 8/4 I typed "plumbers" into Angie's List and found 4-5 plumbers, filled out clearly and concisely what needed to be done, and one had called back, this one "Marshall Services". I had spoke to the lady on the phone who seemed nice, I sent her a picture of the problem that the roofer took for me. She said there was an opening on 8/7. I had told her water was coming into my house, and that date was too far away and she was able to accommodate me for 8/5. She then asked if her guy should bring a 20' ladder or a 24' ladder (I had no idea there was a difference). 8/5 comes about and they call me to tell me they cannot make it for my "clogged toilet" and that there are a lot of emergency calls from the storm and my problem was not considered an emergency and they would send someone on 8/11. I explained to the lady that I do not have a clogged toilet and I have leaking from a bathroom vent on the roof, that I had sent a picture of the bathroom pipe and she assured me that someone would head out on 8/6 between 3p-5p and that we were all good. Here it is 8/6 and I get a call that they will not be showing up to my house and asked me to describe my issue, once again. Working with this company is like pulling teeth, and I told them so on the phone. In addition, I asked if someone would indeed be coming out today 8/6 between 3p-5p today and they said "yes". Now, 15 minutes later I received the call that they are not coming out because after speaking with her manager this is "not something they do". I am so livid, with still a leaking bathroom pipe and false promises. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT STABILITY IN DATE OR TIME SLOTS. Regardless of this company, Marshall, not willing to do the job because it is out of their scope of work - which they should train their employees not to call on jobs they cannot take - they had no ability to keep their promises.

As senior citizens we feel like we were taken advantage of based on the following experience with Marshall Services. First, here is a little background information. Approximately 7-8 months ago I called Marshall Services to repair my heat pump. I was given six options for different levels of service, ranging from $281 to $1,429 that could be performed. I chose the most expensive option, $1,429, based on the opinion of the service technician that we would likely get at least two more years of life out of our system. Recently our system stopped working. While this was very unfortunate/bad luck, it's not the reason for my dissatisfaction. I mention this only to show that I was an existing, good customer. A couple of weeks ago when my system stopped working on a day when the temperature was in the teens I called Marshall Services to have someone look at it. They wouldn't give me an estimate of when a service technician would arrive but I had no reason to expect that it would not be that same day. Later in the day when the technician still had not arrived I called back to ask when they expected the technician to arrive. Here is where the issues begin. The woman I spoke with still would not give me an estimated time that the technician would arrive so my expectation was still that he would arrive that evening. However, the woman immediately tried to sell me their one year "Comfort Club" package/membership that included various discounts and coupons. I was very hesitant but finally caved in and agreed to pay $299 for the package. The service technician arrived around 7:30 pm and within minutes he was able to reset the system and put it in emergency backup mode. The system could run in this mode until I got it repaired or replaced. By the way, their charge for a regular service call is $69, which is what this should have been. The following day (less than 24 hours later) I had time to review the details of what the $299 package included and decided I didn't want it. I called Marshall Services and talked with a woman, Donna, who said it would not be a problem to cancel it. She was going to contact a fellow employee, Erin, who would credit the $299 to my credit card because it had already been charged. A few days went by and I didn't see the credit applied to my card so I called them back. I again spoke with Erin (who may be the owner's daughter) and she said I would not be credited the $299. We had an extended conversation but she still refused to apply the credit to my card even though the other person, Donna, a few days earlier said it would not be a problem. It’s interesting that at one point she said that all telephone calls were recorded. However, later in our conversation when I asked her to replay my original telephone call in which she sold me the package she told me it was not available. She also did not seem willing to listen to the recording of my conversation with Donna during which I was told that the $299 credit would not be a problem. As a side note, in a response to another complaint here on Angie's List the owner said “We have a policy that every customer is to have complete satisfaction, which I personally guarantee”. Well, I am certainly not completely satisfied. In the end I just gave up. There are more important things in the world than losing $230 ($299 for the package minus $69 which is what I should have paid for the original service call = $230). We were disappointed and upset that an existing, good customer would be treated like this. God bless you.

I highly recommend this company! The heater technician from Marshall's was very friendly, courteous, and professional. My heater was repaired in a timely manner, for the price quoted to me, and I was never pressured to buy a new heating system that I couldn't afford.

Joined the stars program to get a regular maintenance on central that never had an issue. After they came out it immediately stopped working. I contacted them and told them how important it was to be fixed because my children have asthma and allergies. They did not care and told me that they could not do anything about it except by a whole new unit which cost thousands of dollars. I felt taken advantage of. They are complete rip offs and tried forcing me into spending thousands. Now I'm left with no central air for my kids because I can't afford it.

I just bought a 100 year old home.  The heat had not been turned on in years!  It's January in Philadelphia, so you can imagine how cold this little house was!
Pete and Jordan came out from Marshalls Home Comfort.  They spent hours for several days prepping the radiators, getting the furnace up and running and finally replacing the chimney liner.  The home is now at a very comfortable temperature for the first time in years.
The guys did a great job, were very professional and spent a lot of time working on getting heat into my house.
They are very knowledgeable and took the time to explain all the details to me.  I'm a first time home owner, and have never lived anywhere with radiator/oil heat.  So, they were very good about making sure I knew how to care for my new heating system.
