Project was completed on time and turned out great!  They were always available for questions, made great recommendations, price was very reasonable.

A contract was signed, with a starting date (June 1st) and a completion date (June 8th), and penalties kicking in if the project is late by more than seven days (June 15th). June 1st came and went without sign of the contractor. Upon prompting them, I was given multiple reasons, ranging from the weather, to that I may need a permit (I didn't), to their finishing some other projects. They showed up on June 6th and promptly hit a sewer line with the excavator. I was assured it would be fixed the next day. After four days it was fixed, in a couple of hours . Over the next few days workers showed up sporadically to complete the dig by hand and lay down rebar for the footing. The last time work was performed was on June 13th, at which time they requested the second installment (another 1/3) of the payment. Since then, I was offered multiple reasons (workers quit, the next day they were fired, then they were hired again, another day the van broke down, several hours later the van was fine, but the workers didn't show up, etc..) and multiple new timelines for completion. A letter from my lawyer and additional ten days to complete work was completely ignored. As of Aug 1st, I still have a precariously supported deck, a gaping hole along the property in which water accumulates, and am still out of 2/3 of the project money. Throughout the interaction, Pavescaper/Hardscape Artists breached the signed contract on multiple counts.

We're still in the process of deciding.  Very professional.  Everything was fine.  They were punctual.  The weather has held us off from doing the project.  We plan to do it in the spring.  Sometimes it would take him awhile to get back to me.

Erik came out for a quick review of the property on May 8, but said he had been very busy so I told him I was in no rush. I had a couple trees that were to be taken down and really wanted to wait until they were down. I told him I wanted to do the work this fall and he promised the plan in a few weeks. When we heard nothing by August we called and again were promised the plan in a couple weeks. We heard nothing more so in early September we called and left messages asking when he would have the plan. Our call was finally returned, but only after we made several calls. He said he would come out on 9/12 or 9/13 to take another quick look before finishing the plan. He didn't show up, nor did he call to let us know he wasn't coming. We left 2 additional messages the following Monday, one to his cell phone and one on the office phone. He called apologetically and said he would be out on Saturday morning, 9/22/2014. Because of the long wait he promised he would give us a break on the price of any work done. Once again he didn't show up and we received no call to let us know he wasn't coming. We sat around the entire morning waiting.

We have contacted Angie's List for a refund and they have agreed. There is no way I would use this company for anything

They did a good job. For the amount of work that they did the price is reasonable. I really can't complain. They were a good guy, good crew, the owners were running the show, they did a really nice job, were professional and all that. So no complaints.

Eric and his team are great to work with. Excellent communication throughout. His workers are incredibly nice, careful, and do first-rate work. The estimate was clear and the price was competitive. Everything was done quickly and properly. Eric is super knowledgeable and his advice about how best to approach this job was terrific. I would recommend him to anyone needing paving work; and I certainly hope to work with him again soon.

The service has worked out fine. Eric Tyson was here today, and I have hired them to do my back yard. They gave me a quote and it is very satisfactory, and so I am going to do it. I did not spend anything more today, but the work is a lot more. They are very accommodating, they have a good back ground, and the owner is a very positive and helpful person.

"We completed the hardscape and landscape work for the Ness family. The project turned out very nice, and we also did some additional work that they hired us for after we arrived to start the original work. That work may have added a day or two to the workload, and we did have a couple days of rain in that period, but we stuck with it and the job turned out nice. The Ness' were very nice people to work for. We are happy they gave us an "A" for quality, and if our company has an opportunity to work for them again, I would make sure they were happy with the communication. I was not made aware of that concern during the project, but as I said, we did additional work while there. Last year our company did three large commercial projects , which really filled our schedule along with the homeowner projects. This year , we have decided to perform only residential work, to service our existing homeowners , along with new, welcomed Angies list customers, so that we can provide all of our customers with enhanced scheduling efficiency."

"We did not do any work for Mrs. [removed member name]. Last February they purchased a big deal and we went right out to meet and formulate a game plan and proposal. Although the big deal only was good for one area and one proposal, we gave the [removed member name] proposals for five different areas. The pool area, the front sidewalk, the driveway, the rear patio, and some additional landscape. There was no additional charges for this as we were happy to oblige. Fair and creative estimates were given for all of the above. Although we reached out for feedback from them on several, meaning more than five occasions, we never heard back. No feedback, and no questions. That is fine , and although we always like to hear, it is not mandatory. It is just deflating to get no response despite our efforts, and then a year later see a mediocre grade. It happens, and you have have to understand that despite trying you can't always please everyone. To all future prospective Angies list customers, please give us as much feedback and ask as many questions as possible, so that we can work tirelessly towards making you a happy customer . Thank you.y"

In 2013 we began to get water into our basement which was dry for the 13 years we have been here.  Environmental changes seemed to wash out grading, tree removal, and neighboring property removed a pool.
Eric, Karen and their crews were great to work with.  They came in with a good solution and estimate.  Focusing on the water problem not more patio.
They communicated daily and brought in more crew when needed if weather came into play.  Eric was always on the job to verify everything was being completed to the plan.  Highly recommend their company and will use them again.

Response from Hardscape Artists
"The [member's name removed]'s are a great family and it was a pleasure to work for them. Originally, we met to assess the problem areas, and ultimately arrived at some good solutions. They picked a package that covered all of the areas, and because of the volume they were really able to save some money with a volume discount, and we successfully completed all of the aspects of the job. Not only do all of the pavers look great, and enhance the back yard, but the drainage system works great, and with the worst winter in years, they have had no water problems. Doing a job that not only looks good, but works good, is very gratifying to us as a company. We look forward to future projects ! Thanks for choosing us to do the job!"

It was a tremendous pleasure to work with Karen and Eric of Pavescaper LLC and Russ of Norristown Brick!  From project concept, as designed by Eric and I, to final project review, these folks provided outstanding Service, responsiveness, and quality of workership.  A few highlights:

1.  They worked with me to schedule the project around some other potentially conflicting efforts I had going on.
2.  Karen provided critical information for obtaining the Township Permit in a timely manner.
3.  They began the project earlier than anticipated and that was tremendously helpful.
4.  Eric visited our site several times daily to communicate project status with me and assess progress.
5.  Their crew took the time to do high quality work and touched base with me daily.
6.  Eric communicated with me even while away for the weekend via email to ensure we were on the same page relating to project status and materials delivery.
7.  At the end of each work day the site was cleaned and looked very professional when they left for the day.
8.   Eric was very accommodating in working thru a change to the project scope during the final phases of the effort.
9.  Russ visited the site to perform the final review and provide his thanks.
10.  Eric provided recommendations on how to best manage these areas post-project.
11.  Karen provided accurate and timely billing and payment info throughout the life of the effort.

Eric and his workers did a great job of doing the work we had contracted him to do within budget but also exceded our expections by dreeing up the front step by coving the stuco portion with matching blue stone and creating a front mat look with the blue stone infront of the front door. and had it completed in time for my wifes surprise Birthday party that weekend.

I had a two-part estimate for edging by the garage and also around the side of the house.  Our finances allowed us to only complete the garage edging at this time.
We got off to a rough start...appointments were made but not kept by the estimator more than once.  I understand it is a busy time for landscaping, etc., but something as simple as a phone call when it is evident an appointment can't be kept goes a long way toward customer satisfaction.  It was frustrating waiting around the house waiting for someone who wasn't going to show.
Once work commenced, it was all good.  The workers are highly efficient and careful.  I am very happy with the edging project.

Several leaks in our basement had developed over the 10 years since we renovated the 80+ year old home.   We tried several things to prevent the leaks but still had problems during heavy rains.  Gary installed external french drains on the side and front of the house to move the water away from the foundation.  This has been very effective in preventing the leaks.  Gary had experience in doing this kind of work and did the job with professionalism and on schedule.

Overall we are very pleased with the job that Pavescaper completed at our house.  This summer has certainly been challenging with the amount of rain that we have received.  After initially seeding our yard we had 4 or 5 days of downpours that washed away about 30% of the seed and top soil that was installed.  We contacted Eric at Pavescaper and he ensured us that they would not consider the job complete until they could come back and re-soil and seed the affected areas.  Unfortunately every time he planned on coming to complete the job we would be hit with another major rain storm.  This was obviously not the fault of Pavescaper and although it took another month or so for the weather to clear enough to finish the job, Eric was in constant communication with us that he would finish the job. He returned this week and not only finished the initial job but included some extra weed and feed service without us asking.

As a consumer it meant a lot to us to have a company stay engaged that they would make sure the job was seen to completion.  If I have any negative feelings about our yard situation this summer they are directed at Mother Nature, not at Eric and the Pavescaper team.  They were professional, competent and most importantly engaged.  We intend on using Pavescaper again as we move forward on numerous hardscaping and landscaping projects at our house.

The plan looked very unprofessional, drawn by hand. All of the digging was done by hand, which I was surprised at. We have paid 2 out of 3 payments with them, but they still owe us work.
