I used Blue Tree on two different landscaping projects. The first was a big job that included full landscaping in my backyard after I had a pool installed. They did a nice job planting flower beds, trees, and sod. They also added lights around my pool. Half of the 8 trees ended up dying and they replace them at no cost. Overall I was happy with that job. I decided to use them to do my spring cleanup after my regular landscaper had issues with staffing!!! I can thank our POTUS for that. Anyway, I called blue tree in at the last moment and they said they could do it by a certain date. Well that date came and went and they didn't end up doing it for 2-3 weeks after that. And I wasn't happy with the job, specifically the mix up that prevented them from trimming my shrubs as I normally get done by my other landscaper. And the weeds came back about a week or two after the clean up. When I asked why my shrubs and bushes weren't trimmed they indicated it wasn't included in my quote. I guess I have to take some blame for not thoroughly reviewing the quote but I did ask for that service. Like is said, I think they did ok with the first job but wasn't happy with the second. Don't think I will use them again as a result. After I spent $16k on my initial project you'd think they would be a little more attentive on a basic clean-up. Even charged me $60 extra to plant 4 small perennials that I left out for them.

It was acceptable. I wouldn't go out of my way to rate them any higher than that. It is tough to evaluate because of the summer rains. The timing was off on when they came and we ended up running out of the year so we ended up curtailing the service so it was just okay. I'm not going back to them. I would call periodically every 4 to 6 weeks. They missed a couple of specific ones that would go down at the correct growing season time for broadleaf control or whatever they were working on. They missed the last two. When I called, they said they would be right out and it was too late so I ended the service. The price was competitive. They probably could have done better. It took me calling them.

Overall we were (and are) very pleased with the work. For the landscape lighting, we talked with, and consulted with, a number of professionals and received all types of information, some of it not consistent. However, Blue Tree first took the time to review our layout, identify a relevant lighting plan that appealed to us (since there are many different levels of exposure you can have and it also needs to complement your existing exterior lighting), and suggested the type of wiring and lighting fixtures.
You get what you pay for, and they suggested well-built lighting fixtures, and we went with them, so that is why the pricing was a little higher. And we are very glad we went with their suggestion since we have had little to no problems with them since installation. Their team was professional, fast, and after it was done you could hardly see where they installed the lines.
It’s also the little things that have us continuing to use Blue Tree, both for regular lawn care and bigger projects. Who would think to wrap the lines in pvc pipe where it crosses tree of flower bed edges? Edging each year would be a lot longer if we needed to remember where all he electrical lines ran so we didn’t cut them.
Apparently Blue Tree knows that it’s not just a one-time project, but something that will last the lifetime of your home and builds it accordingly. They build it right, they build it to last, and they do a great job. We're very happy with them and regularly refer them.

With a large lawn and having a very busy schedule we found it too time consuming to maintain our lawn week after week. Between grass cutting, edging, mulching, trimming, planning, fertilizing, over-seeding, aerating, equipment maintenance, etc. - dealing with a lawn demands a lot of time and energy. Some people enjoy the work, I however do not. I'll deal with the one time projects, like lighting, but I have a hard enough time doing my regular tasks without all the work on the lawn.

So, the obvious remedy to this was to use contractors.

Blue Tree's project managers are great. They remind me of Holmes (from Holmes on Homes on TV), where they give you good advice based on your needs. They have even helped me greatly on projects I was going to handle myself.

We've used them for years and considering they are always doing repeat business in our area, including extensive hardscapes, whole lawn designs, lighting, and everything else dealing with landscaping, I know they have a great reputation with everyone they've worked for.

I know we will continue to use Blue Tree for as long as we live here.

They do a great job. The grass came up well. They did a nice job. They actually suggested an extra step with planting the seed and they put a top soil on it. They did the same job for our neighbors but they didn't put the top soil. We definitely see a big difference after putting the top soil. We got much better grass growth. They gave us some good options and they did a nice job and so far it looks great. The workers were good. They are going to continue our lawn fertilization treatment through out the year. I will continue to use them.
