He did a beautiful job. He was very efficient, very accommodating and he did a nice job. They are mother and father. They are very dear friends of ours it goes back until the 1970s. He is a good kid. His parents were good kid. The price is very competitive. He is responsive and get back to us very quickly. I would use them again in the future.

Mr. jZachary came to give us an estimate for painting our house. Good deal, was going to send contract to me via email. Never received. Called and was told the computer was down which is understandable to a point. Didn't hear anything for a week. Finally emailed and received a rather testy email that we had been told computer was down and he would arrive on Tues. Got email Tues that it would be Wed and that was fine. Paint was to be rolled on, it was sprayed on. Did not do the window frames and did not do the wall of my front porch because they were things on the porch. We offered to move stuff off of porch and they said they were packing up. Gave $50 off price. Not very professional. Would not use again.

Estimate was within our budget and he followed through with the job. However, as stated above, I should not have to go behind himto point out areas where the paint was applied too sparingly.

Michael was very thorough and professional. He always addressed any concerns I had and completed the job as promised. I would hire again.

Mike called me to keep me appraised to a few weeks delay due to an injury he had suffered. Not a problem as I was not in a hurry. When Mike and his helper arrived to begin the job at 7:30 in the morning, that week was the hottest of the summer. The first day they stopped working at 11:30, the second day was 10:30. Although the overall job was satisfactory, the details lacked professionalism. There was spots that were missed (not painted at all) and other areas where it looked as though paint was just slopped on. I paid for a professional not a handyman painting. Mike did return to "finish" the touch ups, but it should have been completed right the first time.

Terrible. The guy did no wall preparation whatsoever such as spakling or taking down plastic corner protectors. He just painted right over them. When problems with the paint job were pointed out to him he became angry and defensive to the point that we pointed out to him that we had a right to our own opinion reference the quality of his work. Lastly, we had a very nice tarp that he appropriated and never returned despite several phone calls asking him to. We finally gave up. In sum, though he gave by far the best price the value of his work was terrible. We would have been far better off paying the 4-5 hundred more than Goode contractors had offered. We had used Goode in the past and will not stray from them again.
Response from ZACHARY PAINTING
"These folks never complained to me personally and said they liked the work. I did forget to return a tiny drop cloth worth less than 5 dollars which I would have gladly refunded. I've had no complaints in 17 years."

Great! I got an estimate from Mike Zachary, the owner. He was very willing to discuss the other quotes I had received and he was willing to beat them. The team was Mike and his assistant. They were polite, professional, friendly, and PROMPT! They arrived on time every day, worked hard, and I was very very pleased. I had even discussed with Mike about what type of paint I should buy so I could repaint the interior railing. He made some suggestions and then I came home the next day and he had done it for me! It was beautiful!! They were on time every day, they took very few breaks, ate lunch at the site, and finished well within the estimated time. I will be calling Mike in the spring to work on the exterior of my home. I have already recommended him to friends and co-workers. I highly recommend him!

Mr. Zachary was on time both to give an estimate and to do the work. He was friendly, respectful and professional. Furthermore, he helped me choose a paint color and gave me painting tips for a room I intend to paint in the future. His assistant was a hard worker, and the pair completed the project much faster than anticipated. However, (this is my only reason for giving a "B" in the quality rating) I think the walls needed a second coat of paint. I agreed to one coat, so it is my own fault, not Mr. Zachary's. Once he had left and the paint dried, I noticed many little areas that need touch-ups - enough areas to warrant a second coat. I may end up trying to do it myself, but I doubt I can reach it all and I don't want to compound the problem. If I had noticed it while Mr. Zachary was still here, I'm sure he would have taken care of it.

I must have called 8 handyman-type guys, even from Angie's list. They would come out and never call back with an estimate or if they had an estimate, it was outrageous ($5,000). If they didn't want the job just say so! But Mike wanted the job and his price was by far less than those other estimates. Mike was great and his crew was very good. He watched all the work and made sure the customer was happy in the end. Who would have thought a painter did window work?! Also, another handyman was in the neighborhood and came over to see what Mike was doing. The handyman said Mike did an amazing job. It's time consuming but Mike acted like he had all the time in the world and he did the job well. Give him a call.
