John Otinga started out to be a very professional gentleman. Scope remove two windows and install a smaller window, drywall a 83 sf kitchen and install 17 cabinets. The plumber came in (which was not John's team) installed the plumbing on the outside of the studs. Width I started out at 98? after I ripped out the existing walls and was down to the studs. I asked John to furr it out by laying the 2x4s flat against the existing studs. I came back he didn?t do that and stepped it out 1 inch from the plumbing plus the 2x4s came out to be additional 5? from the existing studs and with drywall I lost over 6? 91 5/8 to be exact on a 94? cabinet install. So a cabinet had to be eliminated. Please keep in mind the dimensional layout was hanging in the kitchen the entire time (so no one on John?s team could read). I reviewed John?s framework and told him it was a problem. He proceeds. The drywall is hung & ceiling corner seams were terrible a variance of 2? lower than the left corner. Also, John took it upon himself to have his employees ?clean? which were areas outside the kitchen they threw away many of my personal items a 50? heavy duty extension cord and tin snips ended of missing a $150 medical garment was tossed that my husband and I had to dig through trash bags to find. They reached on a top shelf in my mud room discarded 3 sets of cloth blinds which were sitting in dirt on the side of the house totally ruined. He wanted to blame my missing items on another team however that team wasn?t there the day in question when my things went missing. I wanted to end the contact prior to the cabinet install however but I continued and told him that hopefully with the cabinet install would hide the terrible drywall. It?s all in text! Well it didn?t the cabinets were to low yet John said it was industry standards. I didn?t care, they should have been hung to hide the sloppy drywall installation. So I (the customer had to raise them up remove a spacer that was not designed to be there and put it where it was supposed to be). His installer had to move an outlet down instead of him removing the box via screwdriver he cuts around it all the way to over the stud moves it down and sits drywall that he cut out on the stud. Anyone in there right mind knows the drywall will never align. Whereas all he needed to do was unscrew the box move it down into a wing nut box. So during the cabinet install I went on vacation while on vacation he sends me a message the cabinets were done. My response was that upon my inspection from vacation I would pay this was on Thursday and I returned on Monday. During the back & forth text while I?m on vacation he starts going off accusing me of not wanting to pay and then tells me to ?burn lady?. I paid the remaining balance however I deducted a small portion. I have pictures of each phase and also the text messages, I have everything. He even threatened to vandalize my house by removing siding that he threw in during the beginning of the job. If you would like to speak with me email me at
