Amedeo and his crew do outstanding work!  We first hired them to replace an old retaining wall, and widen the driveway.  They removed and replaced the old wall and installed a beautiful VersaLok wall and widened the driveway about 4 feet to give extra room and avoid banging car doors into the wall!  Then we hired them again to  remove an old walkway/steps which ran to the street and they rerouted the new walkway/steps to the driveway.  Many neighbors have stopped by to look at their work and were highly impressed!  Cavaliere Contracting were professional and courteous throughout both jobs and I would highly recommend them!

They did a wonderful job. They were on time, courteous, they did exactly what they said they were going to do and they did it well. I would use them again if I had to do it, if I had any other concrete work and I would recommend them to other people.

About two weeks after first contact, Anthony and crew showed up to install my new sidewalk.  They spent 2.5 days on the work. The first day was demolition of the existing sidewalk and construction of forms.  The second day included installation of a gravel foundation and rebar supports.  The cement showed up in the late morning.  After the cement was poured, they finished and polished it.  The next morning, they removed the forms and cleaned up all the mess.  A straightforward job and one that was well done.

It was a free estimate. I would tell about them to family and friends.  It was not remarkable.

They were efficient. They didn't wreck or damage anything. They cleaned up after the work. They were punctual and did not need much supervision at all. They did what they said they would for the price, that was very reasonable. They provided a written contract showing pricing.

For the driveway repair, they did that as an extra job for a very fair price.

I received multiple bids for this project, all of which were in the same price range.  I ended up choosing Cavaliere contracting due to their detailed written estimate and a price which was slightly better than the other contractors.

Work was completed over the course of about a week, with the demolition and preparatory work done throughout the week and the concrete poured on the weekend.  The work probably could have been finished much more quickly if the weather had cooperated, but the pouring of the concrete was delayed a few times by rain.  After allowing time to set, the contractor returned a few days later to remove the forms.  Overall time from start to finish was approximately a week and a half.

Anthony Cavaliere, the owner, came and measured in a timely manner. He gave me 4 names and numbers of people who knew his work. They were all very pleased. He sent an estimate on e-mail. He predicted he would be available at the end of September, and that's when he called. He and his assistant worked well, with two others to help when the cement was poured. They responded well to any concerns I had. They did a very good job.

They were very good and quick. In terms of price, I do not know. I would consider using their services again in the future.

They did a great job.  It was a minor concrete work.  They worked hard.  They were quiet.  They were quick, and finished product looks really beautiful.  They absolutely stuck to their estimate after the work was done.  The day he was scheduled to come, we had to leave, and he put us on the next available time, so he came week after that.  We kept the email contact because we made the contract sometime in May.  On second day on the job, my neighbor talked to him, and we recommended him to our neighbor.  He took out neighbor's sidewalk and re-put it, so we both got part of it.  He made it look nice.

very well - fixed our downspouts and underwater pipes free of charge and did an excellent job with our sidewalk! Prices were more competitive than other estimates.

I could not be any happier with the patio and with the entire process. Anthony was very professional, fair, meticulous, punctual, and friendly. We discussed the project and he gave me a very good estimate compared to the others. Also, unlike the other companies that said I'd have to replant the entire side lawn for them to bring in equipment, Anthony assured me that my side lawns should not be damaged transporting all the materials and that any minimal damage to the grass would be taken care of by him. He used planks to protect my yard and carried the material in barrels so there was no heavy equipment, which meant minimal damage to the lawn. The lawn sprang right back up after a day or so. He also was nice enough to restack part of the stone wall adjacent to the patio that was damaged during another project by a different contractor at no extra cost. The work area was cleaned up after each day and of course at the end of the project, all looked fantastic. I've gotten several contracted projects done to my home in the last few years, and wish all of the other experiences were as good as this. I'd recommend Cavaliere Contracting to everyone.

All aspects of the job surpassed our expectations. The workers impressed us with their integrity and workmanship. They cleaned up properly and had great attitudes the entire time. This was the best contractor we've ever worked with.

The quality of the work was excellent. The concrete looks beautiful and it has one of the best finishes I've ever seen on concrete work. It has a strong look and feel. The walls are well-placed. One of the walls is in the front of my house, along the driveway. They curved the wall very nicely so it blends in with the driveway as it goes toward the road. The other wall is in the back along the patio, and also is nicely tapered so it blends beautifully into the yard. Every job of this size seems to have at least one problem along the way, and this was no exception. I had a deck installed by another company in conjunction with the concrete and wall work. The deck is above the patio. The deck was built first. I questioned this decision because one of the walls, which goes along the patio, is very close to the deck, and it seemed to me that it would have been better to do the wall first. The other company said it wouldn't be a problem, but I think this decision was made more from a scheduling standpoint rather than considering the best way of doing the job. Well, sure enough the first or second day on the job Cavaliere Contracting bumped the deck with their digger while digging out the dirt to place the wall. The end of the front board of the collar beam was destroyed. Of course, it could have been a lot worse. Having just paid a lot of money for the deck, I was worried that there would be other structural damage, but I checked it out and I think everything is okay. Eventually, I got the other company to come out and make the repairs, but they waited until all of the driveway work was finished, which was over a month. I attribute this problem to a bad decision by the other company (who subcontracted the work to Cavaliere Contracting). The wall definitely should have been done before the deck. Then again, what if I already had an existing deck and Cavaliere Contracting was doing the work? The job presented to them was to do the wall with the deck in place and they weren't able to do it without damaging the deck. I was actually fortunate that all of the work was being done through the other company because I was able to get them to do the repairs (obviously at no cost to me). But, like I said it could have been worse. Anthony is a younger guy...you live you learn. One relatively minor complaint is that the drive is a bit higher than I would like where it meets the road. I asked Anthony about it when I saw the frame for the final pad, but he didn't think it would be a problem once the asphalt was built up to the driveway. But, there is quite a bump entering my driveway. I'm NOT bottoming out my car or anything, but it's like a speed bump entering the driveway. The only other complaint is the length of time to do the job. Granted it was a lot of work, but it took from June 5th to July 17th. But, I'd much rather have them do a beautiful job and take their time rather than the other way around.
