Stephen really seemed to care about getting our piano back into a playable state again. We will definitely use him for routine tuning and will likely rely on him when we are ready to upgrade into a higher quality piano next time around!

Stephen is a meticulous, thoughtful and diligent piano technician. He helped us today with an 1893 Boston upright that has seen better decades.

He continues to creatively find ways to keep the piano usable without major renovations. This is the only thing that has allowed us to have a working piano for my 7 year old who is learning to play and is a little rough on the aging instrument.

Todays services included a tuning, repair of a shank, replacement of some leather back checks and installing key punches in the most played area.

We are grateful to have Stephen to help us and would highly recommend him.

Stephen came to our house for several visits. First, he came to assess the piano and to see if it was worth fixing. He was very friendly and educated myself and my three children during the entire process. He also was open to discussing my interest in tuning the piano to A432 instead of A440 which I was impressed with as other piano tuners I contacted wouldn't even entertain the idea.

We realized that what the piano needed would be extensive so Stephen tuned the middle register before he left so that my 6 year old could start lessons. In the next couple visits he got into the dirty work of dismantling, cleaning and fixing various parts (bass bridge, sound board, action, strings etc). After he finished his work he was always particular about cleaning up which I appreciated.

He seemed to really care about the piano itself and wanted it to breath life into it again. We will definitely use Stephen again for tuning and will probably get him to work on the keyboard to make all of the keys even, straight and looking beautiful! Thank you Stephen!
