There were many options, even I could think of as non electrician, that he did not offer. I also paid for an outlet to be replaced that was damaged. I paid for the work and he never came back. I had to get another electrician to come out to repair the outlet. Also, he said he would come back and remove debris, and he didn't. There were smaller problems I would have liked to have done instead of duplication of what I already had. I felt very taken advantage of. When I tried to reach out to him regarding a resolution, I felt his response was very unprofessional

We reached out to Mr. Jones and he was out of town, but made an appointment for when he returned. On the appointed date and time he called to let us know that he was stuck at a job and wouldn't be able to make it, but made an appointment for the next evening. He did not call nor show up. On the following day (Saturday) he called to inform us that a technician had called our house the day before and there was no answer. Of course we had been waiting for him to show up or at least call, so that didn't happen. He offered to come over right away and see about the matter "personally." We accepted his offer and he arrived about 20 minutes later and looked over the jobs that we had. He was able to take care of the light sockets, but was unable to do anything about the light fixture right then. We paid by check for the work that he had done and he asked us to let him know when we got a new light fixture. We went out that day and purchased a new fixture and called him that evening (actually just to leave a message) to let him know that we had picked one up. He offered to come the next day (Sunday) and install it. We were surprised that he was willing to do it on a Sunday, but the time worked for us as well so we accepted. When he arrived, he installed the fixture and patched an area on our ceiling. When we went to write him a check to pay him, he went on and on about how silly it was for people to write checks in amounts under a couple of hundred dollars and how it wasn't worth going back and forth to the bank for such a small amount and how he'd saved us money especially on a Sunday (not even sure what that was all about). We explained to him that we had no cash in the house. This didn't stop his ranting about a check for such a small amount. We finally offered to go to the ATM and he declined and finally accepted the check. He made no mention of not accepting checks the day before or at anytime explained that he only accepted cash. In our minds no matter how small the job, we do business with contractors by check. We were exceptionally disappointed that he turned out to be so nasty about being paid by check out of seemingly nowhere. We would not recommend him to anyone which is unfortunate because he does good work and seemed like a genuinely nice guy until the check issue. He should know that isn't the way to gain repeat customers or new business by word of mouth. While we wish him no ill will, we will find someone else to take care of our electrical needs going forward.

I bought a house that still had knob and tube wiring, and found this company. The guys were prompt, reasonable, neat, and preformed the work in a timely fashion. They did everything while I was away on vacation. I would highly recommend them.
