General Sewer Service

Fantastic. General Sewer Service; Don and Andy arrived less than two hours after I called. Received a call stating they were on their way. They worked until the line was open. They explained the fee structure for extra time, which I requested to make sure the line was cleared where the problem was. Both Don and Andy were true gentleman and appreciated my dilemma.

We have used General Sewer Service before and they are always very professional, come quickly (even on holidays) and stay until the job is completed and well done. Highly recommend!!

Nice gentleman came out within an hour or so of my call. After assessing the situation he called for an addl person to help. Within an hour they had the blockage cleared.

I have rarely been as pleased with any service as I received from this company.
     The main wastewater/sewer pipe was clogged so that toilets, sinks and clothes washer waste was backing up. A plumber whom I called could not clear the line and recommended General Sewer Service; it was then about 4PM.
 I called General Sewer and explained the situation, expecting to have to wait until morning for service. But by 5:30 he was at the house with all the equipment he needed to clear the line--which was under the slab floor of the house-- and by 8:30PM he was finished and the problem was solved.
Rarely have I received service as promptly and effectively completed as General Sewer Service provided.

It went really well. Our technician was Paul who was courteous very nice and very thorough, knowledgeable and experienced, experienced, as he said he's been with the company since 1986. Our problem was this: Unrelated flooding in the basement from rain on top of snow, ground completely saturated. The sump pump was kcking on every 2 minutes! 1st floor powder room toilet had not been emptying right, and the sink appeared to have backed up. Then came the every-2-minute sump pump water heading for the same sewer line that appeared to have gotten sluggish. Result was water coming up and out of the powder rm toilet. What a mess. Paul arrived, took the cap off the outdoor cleanout and it was full to the top with packed toilet paper! He ran the snake back and forth for close to an hour and cleared the line. By the way, in Delaware both the storm drain and sewage go into the same system, which is illegal elsewhere. Paul really did a nice job and I would highly recommend them.

Beautifully, especially for such a messy, smelly job. If it had not gone well, we would not have been able to use either of the holsehold toilets that night. Hurrah for the repairman!

They came on demand. They did a good job. It was a good experience.

I woke up on Mother's Day to find my sewer backing up and flooding my basement. I called General Sewer Service and the Dispatcher answered the phone right away. She was clear about pricing, they charge any day of the week $190 for the first hour to snake and clear a sewer line from a street vent or basement access and she estimated that it would take and hour or less. The Serviceman, Lamont, was at our house in less than 30 minutes and was very professional and amiable. He double checked the situation to make sure it was the sewer line that was the problem, and then from the street he snaked the line and had it cleared out in minutes. What a great experience!! Thank you General Sewer Service for your prompt, professional, high quality service. You made my Mother's Day!!

I have used General Sewer Service several times, including today. They have always done a good job of cleaning my main drain. They arrive very promptly. When the drain gets blocked, you need help fast! They come out in all kinds of weather and work until the problem is solved. They run some kind of cutter (snake?) through the pipe from a vent on my front lawn. He checked it between the vent and the street and the vent and the house. The problem was toward the street but he cleaned it toward the house just to be sure the problem was solved. I appreciate that they give me a detailed receipt that describes the problem and the location in the drain. Thanks, Paul! I do think the price is a little high, but it's a tough job.

They came within 2 hours of my call. They call when the plumber was on the way. The drain was cleared quickly. We've used General Sewer a few times before and the service has always been good.
