The work they did was third-rate. After leaving our house in a hurry; we had no water, they bent our garage doors, tore up our yard, dumped cement on our property (without permission) and also the workers used our property as their personal bathroom. Charged $5000; outrageous!

Quality of the work was great and the crew was professional. I feel the home owner should be given more information and tips to prep the home against the amount of dust and dirty created. It was tremendous and we could have covered furniture if we had known. I also don't feel the crew was given time/equipment to clean up. No shop vac not even a broom. They used ours. Clean up was not good. After the work was completed, the company has now been unresponsive. I have questions that I addressed in the survey they sent but have not been contacted by anyone.

It was very good. It was hampered by the structure of the building of my house. I didn't expect that much on pricing. They're very professional.

I had been getting water into my basement after rain storms or after snowing. I had found settlement cracks that ran the length of the wall. When I called the builder of the house they told me that the warranty didn't cover Settlement cracks, I called my insurance company and found out that they don't cover settlement cracks. So after seeing 15% coupon / advertisement for I'm The Guy, I gave them a call. They were out immediately to see me and to evaluate the problem. The assessor showed me a presentation on his computer on the different options to fix my problem with the basement leak. He was very professional, thorough and answered all my questions. ITG came out and repaired the cracks to the foundation in addition they installed a water guard system around the perimeter of the basement to insure that I would always have a dry basement

We have a very large basement. The work took a day and a half. Four workers installed the paneling.
First, they cleaned the cinder blocks of any residue. They moved and later re-placed everything in my basement. They worked diligently, were very professional, left the area spotless, and made sure we were happy with the result.
We would recommend ITG to anyone with basement moisture issues.

ITG Basement Systems did exactly what they were supposed to do and so far I haven't had any problems. The crew didn't realize that they were supposed to caulk along the top so they went and got caulk to come back to do exactly what was in the contract.

the contractors who came were very professional and took in consideration that my husband worked nights and kept the noise level down so that he could rest. They were easy to talk to and did not mind me looking over their shoulders which I tend to do when it comes to anything with our home.

They estimated two days and they brought in two and 1/2 crews and completed the whole job in one day. They were efficient and everyone knew their job well. They cleaned everything up and my basement's humidity was down considerably by the next morning without a dehumidifier. Thanks for a job well done.

From my wife, who was at home the first day: The crew of four showed up around 9:00AM and got to work immediately. After all of the preparation work was done, most of the day consisted of listening to loud jack hammers, which is unavoidable. The crew kept to themselves and the task at hand.

I arrived home at 4:00PM to find the work crew standing in the driveway. Here's what I found:

1. They couldn't finish the job and would return the next day. They found during initial jack-hammering that the foundation was built in a way that the slab floor was 8 inches thick (block on slab construction) instead of the standard 4 inches (typical footer and slab construction). Completely understandable.

2. During their prep work, they removed the utility room sink (which was discussed and understood during the estimate) AND they removed a wall behind the sink that had been built a year earlier to bridge a gap between the sink/plumbing and the concrete block wall (discussed during estimate and understood that they were to go around the wall). Not happy with that.

3. During jack-hammering in the utility room, they accidentally severed the copper oil line that runs from the tank to the furnace. They repaired it with a coupling, but could not get the furnace to start again. I had to call my oil service company to send over a technician. The technician couldn't start the furnace and ended up having to replace the copper line and nozzle. The bill for that was $109.50. After talking with the owner and sending the invoice after the job was done, they paid it in full.

The next day, I became a bit concerned when no one showed up by 10:30AM. So I called the company. Being a Saturday, I got their answering service. I left a message for someone to call back right away (no one did). A two-person crew finally showed up at 11:00 to complete the job. They had truck problems and had to get a different truck.

The crew finished the job around 2:30PM. I did the final inspection and noted my concern on the paperwork about items 2 and 3 above and paid the bill. The crew then left. I was then left to clean up the driveway full of stones and concrete chips, as well as the garage, utility room and family room floors with the same. I wasn't quite expecting that, as I assumed there would be some effort at cleaning up on their part after the job. At a minimum, sweep the driveway of the stones and plastic shavings from the cuttings of the system pipes.

Even with some of the things that happened, I am still giving the company and its product an A overall (if I could give an A- I would) because everything is working exactly as advertised. We have had several rainstorms since installation and the areas of the utility room that always got water when raining are now bone dry. So we are happy. The work crew gets a B because of the clean-up issue and a slight lack of professionalism.

UPDATE (1/18/2012): After getting through the holidays, the owner asked us to get estimates to do the repairs for item 2 above. Those were sent and he agreed to cover all costs. We now feel the job is complete. Everything with the waterproofing system continues to work as expected. Not a drop of water in the house. We can definitely recommend and quot;I'm The Guyand quot; for basement waterproofing.

The company was paid 14 thousand for the work. They excavated half the home and installed six anchor / lifts. Immediately the problems began. Each and every time it rained, water entered the basement all along the foundation that was excavated. I had the company back to review the problem and discuss a solution. All they wanted to do was sell me additional waterproofing services.

I agreed to have them in to preform additional work. The work crew showed up started to work and within 5 minutes stopped, packed up their equipment. They told me with the type of foundation that they could not perform the work.

I had the company return to discuss this problem. They attempted to sell additional services. By this time my confidence in their engineering know how had disappeared. I content that they should have known that lifting a subsurface, slab foundation would result in further damage and water problems.

I hired a second company to excavate the foundation and install a drainage field to correct the water problem. It was discovered that two of the anchor / lifts did not have piping sunk to bedrock. These anchors were merely attached to the foundation.

My recommendation is to avoid this company like the plague.
