Excellent. They answered many phone calls promptly and to my satisfaction. Job required extra work and they were so helpful and accommodating.

We were very pleased with the Initial work completed 2 3/4 years ago. The workmanship as well as Bob’s and his employees’ workability was totally good. BUT - follow up is another story - BOB from Avalon Tub and Tile TOTALLY BLEW US OFF YESTERDAY! After him not returning calls when we called to set up an appointment, we finally did make contact and scheduled an appt. He called the day before that appt and rescheduled for yesterday. He showed at the appointed time of 8am time. He complained about not be able to get help anymore even when paying $100 an hour, looked at the work we needed done, went to his truck to get his supplies, told us he left them in another truck at home. He left our house at 8:10 am to get them, saying he’d be back in about an hour. Fast forward several hours and we don’t hear from him. We called him. His phone message box was full. He later called back and said he actually left the needed supplies at another home at yet another distance away. He said it would be several hours until he would be able to get the supplies. Fast forward more than a few hours and we call Bob. He said he’s heading over to get the supplies and he’ll call when he gets there in 1/2 hour. WE NEVER HEARD FROM BOB. HE NEVER CALLED. HE NEVER RETURNED TO OUR HOME to complete basic minor maintenance work on two reglazed tubes and minor caulking work on two tub walls. This work was part of the warranty from when we had almost $1500 worth of work done 2 3/4 yrs ago. Actually, after his company did the work, there was another time that he didn’t get us a strainer that he said he would for our tub. When we would talk with him after we called him, he was always apologetic, but that’s apparently BS. We wouldn’t have called him for this minor work, because of the concerns we had about his unacceptable past lack of follow up, but I wanted to get in one more buffing before the 3 yr warranty was up and get the caulking fixed. He said it was an easy job, won’t take long, and acted all cordial and eager to get started. He even said that he comes back to do such work with his customers after the 3 yr warranty period. HA! If we didn’t call him several times during the day when we didn’t hear from him, we wouldn’t have even had phone contact. His reasons for the delay were total BS. What professional who has been in the business for so many years does not have their equipment and supplies on hand for the job they were told about in advance?! BS HE NEVER RETURNED TO OUR HOME. HE NEVER CALLED. WE WASTED AN ENTIRE DAY WHILE HE PLAYED HIS UNPROFESSIONAL SELF. He may initially seem like a pleasant guy to work with, but he has major problems with follow up when we weren’t on his tail. We will not waste anymore energy on this expletive person.

Avalon Tub and Tile did a wonderful job regarding the refinishing of my bathtub and surrounding tile. Don was prompt to return my request for an estimate and very accommodating with scheduling. His employees were on time, explained the procedure, performed a terrific job, cleaned up afterwards. I was also given instructions regarding the care of the tub/tile and any/all questions were addressed. Thanks for a great job! Will definitely recommend Avalon Tub & Tile to anyone needing this type of work completed!

Work was for a few tile grout items, mainly re-grouting vanity countertop in two bathrooms and a shower stall. High quality work, fair price. Minor touch-up was needed a couple of weeks later; handled effectively.

Process for getting a bid was very easy. A specific date for the work was requested and agreed to and all went as planned. Work was done with least disruption possible, efficiently and neatly.

Everything was done Perfect but the price Quoted was not what he wanted to charge me but after talking to owner he came down to price he quoted me over the phone! Beautiful Job ! Ed was very neat and did a GREAT job !

Wonderfully

Had a tub that had been refunished once (poorly, by previous owner) and peeled the minute we moved in. Called several companies, Avolon answered promptly, gave a quote, scheduled the time, and came as promised. End product looks great.

Bob and his team did a great job renovating our bathroom. There were a couple minor snags (as would be expected), but they handled them promptly and professionally. The finished product looks great. Bob (the owner of Avalon) was very responsive and honest. Couldn't be happier overall.

The job took about 3 hours. They were professional and did a nice job. I would recommend them.

Bob the owner is very responsive. Returned calls in a timely manner. Rich, who did the work, was punctual, worked continuously, and cleaned up each day before he left. His work was excellent and completed in a timely manner. Both Bob and Rich are courteous, answered my questions, and had no problems when there was a slight delay in my obtaining the vanity top. All in all it was an extremely positive experience.

I called and asked for details. He came on a Sunday to complete the job. What he quoted me was the exact amount for the finished job. Excellent job and my tub looks like new.

Bob called me the same day I left a message on Angie's List and was out for an estimate in a couple days. His price was fair and he started the job on the weekend in order to meet my schedule. I had to stay out of town unexpectedly during the work and Bob took care of things over and above what would normally be expected which was greatly appreciated. The work looks great (and I'm very picky). I would definitely hire Avalon again and recommend them to anyone without reservation.

The work looks amazing. He explained how to take care of the tub to maximize the refinishing job. The tub looks completely brand new now.

Once they got there, they were efficient and careful to protect other surfaces and cleaned up.

They were very nice. They were very overwhelmed with work and tried hard to get our job done. He was good and it is a beautiful shower.

A perfect job at a fair price

In the end, I'm very pleased with my bathroom. It looks great and I feel that I received good value for my money. Which is why I'd recommend and hire again. However -- I have seen houses go up faster than my little bathroom updates were completed. First the estimate -- Bob came out right away and promised me an estimate that night or the next morning, but it was several days later that I received a not-very-professional estimate (I'm used to line items in an estimate so I know what the costs are... and I should have insisted on a time frame for completion). Next the glass (3 weeks became more like 6 due to issues with the first vendor and other unknown reasons. My guess is that the owner is not as organized as he could be and things fall through the cracks and were forgotten for a few days or more). That being said -- he was EXTREMELY responsive... no text or call went more than five minutes without being returned. He also was certain to make sure I was happy, replacing a few tiles I thought might be cracked and in general wanting to have a satisfied customer which I am. Steve -- who did the work -- was very friendly, punctual, and professional. Finally, I think his price was very fair and my bathroom went from looking like an afterthought to a showpiece. If time is not an issue, I'd hire Avalon again. If it is, I still might hire them -- but I'd get them to commit to a timeline and stick to it.

Bob was easy going low key from the beginning. Was happy to do whatever we wanted but did make some suggestions. Steve did almost all of the work himself He was very friendly and wanted our approval for every step of the process. Had a few glitches with the pipe not being available which delayed work for 1 day but process was very easy (except we had to use my sons shower for a week. Bob stopped by every once in a while to see how the work was progressing. We are thrilled with the final product. Bob reminded me to call him if there are ANY problems and remind him to inspect it yearly because if there is a small problem it could be prevented from becoming a bigger problem

He was okay except that the receipt told me that he would charge $525, but then he actually charged more than that.  So far the quality looks like it's okay.  It's not used much, we haven't used that bathroom yet.
