Water heater leaking.  Called left message at night.  Nancy called next morning and fit me into the schedule same day.  Guys came out and were pleasant and professional  Covered wood floors before work began. Recommended that they move hot water heater location a bit so it wouldn't sit in the middle of the basement.  Good recommendation, thanks! Basement seems bigger now.  Once the job completed they explained everything and also told me to be careful as the temperature may not be the same as my old setting. And to call them if it wasn't right.  These are really nice people.  I also used Garner Brothers to convert heater from oil to gas...another great experience.  I recommend them to friends and family always.

I can't praise Garner Brothers highly enough. They installed a high velocity air conditioning system three years ago, and, more recently, replaced my gas boiler. In both instances their service and installation were impeccable. Because my home was built in 1871 and has had several additions over the years, the AC installation wasparticularly complex. Of all the potential contractors I spoke with, Mike Garner was the most creative and he proposed (and installed) a system that did not encroach on any living areas of the house. Based on my recommendation, 6 friends have also used Garner Brothers and all have been extremely satisfied with their prices and work.

I love Garner Bros.!  I contacted the office and Scott promptly returned my call and set up an appointment immediately.  When at my house, he carefully inspected my home to ensure he was able to do the job while staying within my means. Scott was able to recommend a high velocity A/C unit that did not require duct work.  He and his staff were exceptionally pleasant and extremely clean and neat while diligently performing a job that took 2 1/5 days.  I was very pleased when they were done and the follow up from his office was exceptionally fantastic!  I would highly recommend Garner Bros. without a doubt!  : )

Perfectly.  It went perfectly and believe me when I tell you that when you own a home built in 1926 that is the exception rather than the rule.Garner showed up on time and did a wonderful job.  It took two days to complete the job.  Garner was ready when PECO came out to test the lines that were run and turn on the gas.  I obtained three estimates on this job.  The first two contractors tried to sell me more than I really needed.  Mike Garner was by far the most honest.  He asked me a lot of questions on my heating and hot water needs.  My answers along with the size of my home gave him the answers he needed to sell me the right equipment.  His estimate was two-three thousand dollars less than the other estimates I received.  He recommend a 40 gallon gas hot water tank that was a separate unit, not part of the heating system and a standard heater (not high efficiency)  In this economy I questioned not installing high efficiency and he told me that he did not feel it would be cost effective for my needs. The told me what the difference in cost was. I did exactly as Mike recommended, I did not purchase the HE unit.   I can not believe how low my gas bill is.   I was spending at least 60-70 dollars a month on oil just to heat my water in the summer of 2011.  This summer my gas bill has been about 22 dollars a month.  This cost was not just for my water, I had Garner return this spring and run a gas line to a new grill that is natural gas, not propane.  I bbq a minimum of 10 days a month. Last winter my gas bill was between 90-110 per month.  I had a new thermostat with the timer installed which saves on energy.  It was an unusually warm winter and we all had lower heating bills but the fact remains it did not cost me much more to heat my home and water last winter than it did to heat only my water the summer before.If we have a bitter cold winter my heating bill might double.  Mike was right when he explained to me that he did not feel high efficiency would save me enough money to justify the additional cost.  I had the right equipment installed for my needs.  I think that Garner does that for everyone.  They will install exactly what the customer wants but they will recommend what they feel is right for your needs.  The work is done properly, the mess is cleaned up and all of your questions and concerns are addressed.  You know how to operate your new equipment before they leave. 
The office is run by Nancy.  She is wonderful.  She schedules your work when it is convenient for you and when she has the proper amount of time on the schedule to complete your job.  They do not leave until the job is done and they show up as scheduled.  Nancy also handles all the paperwork for the warranty on your equipment.  Painless as a job this size can be.

Converted oil heater to gas (already have gas line in the house). Met with Mike, very nice. Timely with estimate. Also needed to get rid of oil and oil tank. Other companies that I met with for estimates would not do. Everything was great from start to finish. Mike came with two technicians, Alex and Kevin, also very nice and professional. They did a great job.

I qualify for conversion to gas and upgrade to energy efficient rebates from gas company. Nancy, their office manager is FANTASTIC. She handled the paper work for the rebates...and also spoke to the company to make sure I rec'd the correct rebates.  Also took care of the warranty registration. 

VERY client focused. I got the recommendation to use them from a friend whose a local business man and I am glad I did.

They also installed new hot water heater. My chimney is old and would have needed a liner to keep my gas hot water heater, with the new high effiency heater you don't use the chimney.  So I switched to electric water heater.  That is not included in the price.

Overall experience was an A+

Their service is exceptional. They are professional and very customer service oriented. Their charges are also very fair and reasonable. They are my go-to contractors for anything related to my heater or air conditioner.

We got three quotes, but Garner really examined the house before quoting (breaking through to the previously sealed attic to see what was up there and if they could use that space to install the system.) The other companies just assumed the attic was big enough to accommodate the system (which it was not). They worked quickly and finished the job sooner than expected. They were really nice, and I look forward to working with them in the future (for annual maintenance etc.). One thing you should be aware of: they installed the system perfectly, but you may have some finishing work to do when they leave -- which they did warn us about -- carpentry stuff, like building soffits to hide ducts. We only needed to have one finishing item done when they left -- some wires & tubes coming down behind our 'fridge from the second floor to the basement. Everything else was 100% finished and clean.
