He was referred by another well respected contractor. Ken Moyer brought his son, approximately 10 years old with him. The son sat around watching most of the time, walked in and out in his socks leaving paint marks on new carpet and floors. He folded up the tarp at the end with brackets in it that went to the new blinds which were removed while painting which I pushed on them to find before they left for the day. He had to leave to get his son food. They came for the day and he brought no food for his son. The painting was okay, not great. I had to ask him to redo the door purple trim which was sloppy and pointed out a multitude of places on doors, floor and carpet he got paint especially from his shoes which didn't have shoe covers. He added $124 to the quote as he was leaving for the day, asking for the money to be sent prior to finishing the job, claiming the green paint was much more than he expected. Since he was supposed to be painting the rest of the house I felt compelled to pay him the extra. He never returned to finish the job. He was difficult to contact after the day he painted, claimed he told me he was going on a vacation the next day, made 2 more dates to finish the job, but failed to show up either time and has failed to respond to any phone calls.
Description of Work: Job was to paint the master bedroom & stairway initially and then to paint the rest interior of the house. Ken Moyer wanted to do it after the floors and carpets were done because he didn't want anyone to mess up his work. He was asked to use green environmental friendly white paint which he purchased from Sherwin Williams for the walls, purple trim paint provided by myself. He quoted a price of $350 for the room and stairway. They were asked to wear shoe covers to protect other parts of the house.
