Very impressed with this company. I called Saturday mid day, and they were here in the afternoon. Chris was great. Explained everything that I would need, and the cost (which was fair). I said lets do it and ask when he could come back, and Chris said we can do it now. Wow. You don't hear that these days. Chris's work was clean and very efficient. Very happy.

Terribly disappointed. I suggest not wasting your time. I called last week to schedule an estimate to install high lift tracks, new jack shaft openers, and any necessary new hardware on my garage doors. I spoke with the office manager, then the shop manager to schedule an estimate. Nearly a week later when they were supposed to come give the in person estimate, I received a call that they were not interested in doing the job unless I replaced the doors as well. They claimed the job was too involved and would require more hardware, but replacing the doors is a non-starter as they're solid architectural doors that match the house. They did not quote what hardware would be required, and frankly it made little sense from an engineering standpoint as there is nothing that precludes a wooden door to be a high lift, the doors are not abnormally large or heavy at only 9'wx8' high, and the openers and hardware are rated for much more. They admitted it was possible to fit the door with the appropriate hardware [doors which they gladly charged >$1500 to change the rollers and springs on just 3 years ago], but were still uninterested in the job unless we changed the doors. There is no engineering reason why this door could not be converted to a high lift, or have the openers installed - I got the impression they just didn't want to the job unless they got to sell new doors too. They offered no alternative, no increased pricing, just a cancelation on the estimate. They wasted my time, and in the end admitted that they were just too busy for a job like this.

Arrived promptly. Very important since we couldn't get the garage door opened. He replaced the spring and other items that needed to be replaced. He was very professional and courteous. Very happy guy. We highly recommend A.J. Yanko.

I was so impressed at how quickly, Precision doors sent AJ to repair my garage doors. Our old company seemed to be out of business, so I found precision and I'm so glad. There is no comparison between quality two companies. AJ was prompt, kind, efficient. He wanted me to understand clearly what he intended to do in the way of repair. This is the time of year when I always have our garage doors inspected for problems, Fall before Winter can set in and make repairs possibly more difficult. AJ did a very thorough check. Before he did the check, he showed me everything that he was testing. Then, he looked for the best possible discount to bring the cost of the servicing and repair down. Again, I was very pleased about the discount. I hope that next year, we will see AJ again. But, I want to mention that the person who answered the phone also was very kind and gave me a much smaller range of time than my old company. With my old company, it was necessary to wait all day. The person who answered the phone said that it would be between 1 and 4, a much shorter time span. AJ was even early. I highly recommend Precision Door company.

Outstanding service. Installer was on time, courteous, knowledgeable. Work was done in a professional manner, and end result is a smoothly operating, quiet garage door system. Could not ask for better!

The spring on my garage door broke and I called this company. I informed them I still had a month or so on my warranty and informed them of the type of spring that would be needed. No more information was requested and an appointment was scheduled. When they arrived, they immediately stated they cannot do the warranty work and that I should have called the door manufacturer. Then they charged me for the service call. The manager informed me that I should have informed them it was a warranty job. It is recorded on their line that I did tell them that BEFORE scheduling. Essentially, I did everything they said I should have done to avoid wasting both of our time and my money, but yet they won't refund my wasted time or money for their mess-up! No one should do business with this company as they provide terrible customer service!

While the initial estimate negotiations with the first contact was rather uncomfortable and we almost didnt use them, the tech that came out for the estimate and the eventual repairs was very considerate, cooperative and helpful in explaining what he was doing and why it was necessary.

Initially we thought the problem was with the safety sensor. It turned-out to be a bad circuit board. The safety inspection also found some age-related issues. We decided to go ahead and replace the door opening system entirely. Everything was explained, easy to understand. Pricing was pretty much what I expected.

Do not hire them to fix your garage doors. I live in Bucks County and had new garage doors installed several years ago. Unfortunatelly, 1 of the cables snapped and a spring broke. Person who scheduled the appointment was very polite and scheduled appt for the next day. I asked for an estimate for this kind of repair and was denied. The person that came out said that it would cost around $435 to fix. He would charge for the 2 new springs at $100 each plus $50 for the service call and some other charges. When I asked about the $50 coupon on their website, he said that it wouldn't apply but he may take off $15 and I still have to pay service charge on top anyway. When he saw my utter shock, he said that it is not unusual to have a "sticker shock" and that I still have to pay $50 service charge. Later on, I learned that spring should only cost about $25 and the whole repair should be less than $200, which is what I estimated initially. I wonder if this company makes several calls a day where they quote astronomical prices and collect $50 each time without doing any work.

Extremely high mark up on materials. I looked up the parts on the invoice and found the garage door opener they charged me $570 was available at a RETAIL price of $250. RETAIL, which means they are getting it for half that and marking it up 450%!! Part # is LM8550w (go ahead and google it). The 2 springs they used RETAIL for $40 and they charged me $150 a piece ($300 total) so a 375% mark up and that's if they are paying retail for them which they're not. Part # is "250 39 Red Spring" (go ahead and google it.) Just absolute price gouging at its worst. My wife was home when they priced it out and I told her that they were ripping us off and to say no. After she hung up with me the "gentleman" told her a bunch of lies about why it was so expensive and pressured her into over-riding my decision. He told her it was so expensive because it was a "heavy duty" door opener that was necessary for the special door we had. We have a normal garage door, nothing special about it, and he didn't install a "heavy duty" door opener, it was a standard $250 unit that you can get at any home improvement store. The correct answer for why it was so expensive is that they mark it up 450% (he didn't say that). When I called the office to complain they said the mark ups are so high so they can cover overhead. This is bogus, every business has overhead, the businesses that sell the unit for $250 have overhead. They then told me they threw in a battery backup pack (which would not justify that big a mark up anyway). However the $250 unit included a battery pack standard so again bogus. Bottom Line: We got a new garage door installed and paid $1,000 total. $120 was for labor and service $220 was for parts $660 was mark-up on those parts They made $780 for an hour of work. This is criminal. I'll be contacting the BBB and would urge anyone to take a close look at your bill and what kind of mark up they have on the materials. They will likely reply to this with some bogus excuse about licensing and insurance and overhead costs but don't be fooled. All businesses have these costs, they are price gouging and ripping people off.

The team at Precision was great to deal with, starting with Tom the owner. We initially wanted to temporarily remove our old door to facilitate drywall work in our garage but when the door was inspected we learned that it could not be removed without damaging it. At that point Tom walked us through the new door options without pressuring us to buy. We ordered a new door but when it arrived the installers realized that the original measurements were incorrect and our door had to be ordered at a custom size. Tom handled this without any additional charge and the correct sized door arrived the next week. Angel and his assistant installed the door perfectly in one morning. The technician arrived about 30 minutes earlier than planned, but he called first to make sure it was OK. He explained the pricing options to replace the broken parts on one of my garage doors. The prices seemed very high, but I wanted to get the work done that day, so I reluctantly agreed. He completed the work in about 30 minutes, showed me what he did, and explained the 3 year parts warranty. I paid by credit card using his tablet, and my invoice was emailed to me later. I was happy with the work, but I think the parts are very overpriced. This type of work can be dangerous to do yourself, but next time I will use a different company due to the high cost.

I had a wonderful experience recently with Precision. From the very beginning, I felt at ease and felt that I would get the best service and quality for the price. I worked with Tom for pricing; he made wonderful suggestions, and did not come on with a hard sell. Indeed, because of a door that was left in stock, I got an upgraded door (with window, which I initially didn't want) for the same price as a lower-priced, windowless door. On the day of installation, Tom was in my driveway at 7:15 for an 8:00 start time, to begin looking over the lay of the land. Angel arrived soon after. Both men worked all day--they left around 4 p.m.--in miserable heat and humidity. Never once did they even enter my house, although I asked them to several times to get out of the heat. They stopped only for lunch. The job looks beautiful, the work is perfect, and the place was completely clean afterward. Precision was recommended to me by a neighbor who used them for garage repair two years ago. I will certainly recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of work on a garage door.

Prompt and job was done good. Only Issue is the price. Cost of each spring is $100 and for two springs it was $200. It is way above the average. I called the main office and gave them the details. The manager did call me (which I appreciate) and explained to me the reason for markup. I told him that 40% markup is way above the industry average. I did see an average of $200 to replace garage springs, but precision charged $324 which I feel is too high. My suggestion is to do a cost research before hiring Precision.

Complete ripoff. Will NEVER use this service again. Unfortunately I was away overseas when the spring broke on the garage door. My wife called me and I thought the best thing to do was to call the same company that originally installed the door to fix it. So she called Precision and had them come out. So what did they do? Completely took advantage of my wife and the fact that I wasn't there. Charged her almost $700 to replace a single spring. Then tried to convince her to do the same on our other garage door, replace all the weather stripping, etc. I am truly infuriated by this and will NEVER use them again for anything, and make sure I let everyone know what happened. If I had been there there is no way they would have even tried to con me into a $700 repair, but because I wasn't there and my wife was running back and forth with the kids - they took advantage of the situation. Horrible, rip off, con artist. Never, ever, again.

My garage door opener stopped working. It was more than 20 years old, as it was in the garage when I purchased the house. I didn't expect anyone to be able to fix it, given the age and name on the product. After looking at reviews, I called Precision Door Service. Someone came to my house and replaced the opener the same day. He was knowledgeable and efficient. I was quite pleased with the experience.
