Watching him on my cameras for two weeks felt like a reality show, except without the entertainment value. Spoiler: I had to fly from Europe to get him to finish. Fun times! 2. A True Artist (of Chaos): If you’re lucky enough to have a camera, you’ll witness the show—loud music, dancing, and singing while “working.” Don’t worry about professional craftsmanship; Irv’s work is artistic. Expect paint over outlets, switches, window trim, and baseboards. Oh, and behind heaters? Forget it. Apparently, that’s an optional service I didn’t sign up for. Mudrooms and bathrooms? Also optional. My favorite part? The window frames—some in the yard, others painted in whatever color he felt like that day. Genius, really. 3. Clean-Up? Never Heard of That Either: Once Irv announces that his masterpiece is “done,” be prepared. Your house will look like a Jackson P****** painting gone horribly wrong.
