CAWLEY BROS VAN LINES INC

The moving appeared to go well until the end of the move when I was charged additionally for extra manpower. I was alone with the movers and I had no one else to help me monitor the move and for one person I could not be in two places at once so that when the move was completed I did not find the damages to my belongings until a few days had passed, but when I found one item damaged, I found another. The movers did not disclose any damages to me at the end of the move. I was devastated at the time I found the damages because I recently had a red fluted chair completely restored and I could no longer sit on the chair or enjoy it as I had before. I did notify the mover of the damages. I did not find the owner cooperative, since what the owner/Cawley Brothers Moving Company were prepared to reimburse me for did not come near to the professional estimate I had prepared and submitted to the moving company. Also note that the professional estimate did not include the scratching to the refrigerator or the paint scraping at the doorway. I do not think my property was treated in a proper manner as it should have been since I trusted a moving company to move my belongings intact and not leave me with problems after the move that I didn't have before the move was initiated. I also went through the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer complaint division of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania and thus far the issue has not been remediated.
