Gordon Sinift Plumbing

This was an emergency -- the night before we noticed water dripping from the ceiling and identified the leak as coming from the upstairs toilet. I used Angie's list this morning to find a plumber and Gordon Sinift was very close by. I called one of my other choices but they were not available until the next day. Since we were heading out of town, that would not work. I called Gordon and he said he could be here by 1PM. He showed up on time with his apprentice, and they went straight to work. While he was here, I had him evaluate one of my other toilets. I could not afford both jobs today; however, Gordon showed me exactly what was wrong with the other toilet and even gave me good free advice on how fix it and where to get the parts if I decide to go the DIY route. He did a great job of fixing the leaking toilet and it seemed like they were here and gone in no time at all. Gordon and his assistant were very personable and I would surely use them again.

We phoned Gordon, (for the shower repair) explained the problem to him and within a day he was here, did the repair in a timely manner.  There is no mess to clean up after as he does it all before he leaves.

Horrendously unprofessional!  Our heating unit wasn't working.  Called Gordon Sinift.  A tech came out.  He checked out our system and said we needed an inducer motor and assembly.  He said he would go to a supply house and pick one up.  The trip would be at our expense.  He said it would take about an hour.  After 2 hours, I called Gordon Sinift who thought his tech had finished and was at another job.  His tech finally returned with the part.  After what seemed like a very long time to install the motor, I went up to ask how he was doing.  He let me know the system still was not working.  He went out to his truck and was on the phone, again for a long period of time.  I went out to see what was going on and was told we now needed the "mother board".  He wrote us a bill for $560.00.  He said he would order a board and get back to us.In the meantime, our daughter suggested she had a friend who owned an HVAC company and maybe he would come look at our situation. What he found was the inducer motor Sinift installed was not the proper unit for our system and parts of the housing had been broken off to attempt to make it fit.  He believed the problem was still the motor and not the board.  He called Gordon Sinift to discuss the situation.  Mr. Sinift, whom we've never met, let our new guy know we were "cheap" as we questioned the time the job was taking.  He also continued to insist the problem was the board.  Mike, from KC's AC said he would order the motor and come back to replace it.  A few days later, Mike came back, installed the motor and our system was up and running.  He did say that the board, had we gone for that, would have been quite costly (more than the motor) and would not have resolved the problem as the motor installed by Sinift's tech was "burnt out".I did call Mr. Sinift to try to resolve this and he was rude and unprofessional again stating we were cheap and "live in a mansion".  We live in a four bedroom house on less than a quarter acre in a development.  When the possibility of a bad report on Angie's list was mentioned by Mike, Mr.Sinift said they only stay on for a few weeks and he really didn't care.Bottomline... Gordon Sinift Plumbing was incompetent and very unprofessional...AVOID!!!

The service man was polite, respectful, did a very fast job.  He answered all my questions in full.  I could not have asked for better service.  I would recommend this company to everyone without reservation.  They made what started out as a nightmare day, a pleasant experience.  Thank you!.

He arrived on time both thimes we used him, did the job, cleaned up after he was finished and we were very pleased with his service.

This last service I called on the 18th and he came the next day because our faucet was not working correctly and he was concerned that it may break and stop working completely.
