I had contacted three contractors to get a quote on hanging and finishing about 120 feet of drywall. All three contractors gave me prices for additional work that I planned on doing myself for this project and all I really wanted was someone to do the drywall. I came across the name Smith and Nelson Drywall in the Pocono Builders Membership Directory. I called John Nelson, the owner of the business and got a quick response and visit to give me an estimate. His price quote was, in my opinion, very reasonable. His crew consisted of three young men, including his son, Michael, who did most of the work. The materials and workers arrived at our residence at the agreed upon date and time. They worked quietly and quickly for three consecutive mornings(4/23-4/25) . After the final coat of compound on Friday morning, Michael returned on 4/28 for sanding and completion of the job.
At the conclusion of every day they worked, the basement was swept clean and any debris was removed. There was virtually no dust one would associate with the sanding of compound.
I could not have asked for a better job or nicer people to do the job. These are the people to call if you have a drywall project and want it done professionally.
