Provider came out, couldn't determine what the problem was, told us there WASN'T a problem [it was intermittent and not happening at that point]. Even though we pointed to a part that we thought needed to be replaced, they left after not seeing that as the issue. About an hour later, it went out again, recalled, and the provider sent same technician who THIS TIME saw that what was wrong was what we'd pointed out. Replaced the part and it's been fine ever since.
PRO's - replaced the part on 2nd visit w/o charging for the 2nd visit - only for parts. [I'd hoped so since the issue wasn't fixed with the first visit]. At least it finally got fixed.
Con's - wasn't hearing us when we told about what we'd triaged the issue to.
I called him again and he said that he would have to order 2 new timers. I asked him how much it would cost and he said he’d get back to me. After not hearing from him for about a month, I called him and left a message for him to get back to me. He stopped by my house without calling (I had a doctor appointment that day and wasn’t there) and told my friend, who was home at the time that he was there with the new timers and would fix everything. He was only there for 10 minutes and left a bill for $255.00. If I had been advised of the cost, (which I had requested) I never would have authorized that.
My friend told him that he believed the cost was too high and the owner (myself) might not approve of it. At this point he went back downstairs and removed the timers. However, I’m still left with a water softner that is still not working after spending $95.00. I find this company extremely unprofessional in their handling of their customers and completely unreliable. To make matters worse, I am a senior citizen on disability and am on a fixed income and to get ripped off like this is so unfair.
