Gene was very quick to respond to my initial inquiry.  He came out as scheduled and cleaned the entire yard of leaves.  Came back again to aerate and lime the yard and one last leaf pickup.  He also cut the grass for the last Fall cleanup. All work was done in a very professional and timely manner at a very reasonable. cost.
Once again we used Gene for landscaping services.  I really can't say enough about this company.  Gene is fantastic to work with.  ALWAYS calls you back or answers his phone (so rare these days).  Very courteous, professional etc.  Very reasonably priced.  He works very hard when on your property and is totally respectful.  GLS is the ONLY company I will call when I need services for landscaping and I highly recommend him to friends.  (6/24/15)

Gene did an excellent job. He responded to my message within 4 hours and was very prompt with the follow up as well as a quote. The quote was very reasonable. He performed the work while I was out of town and just left the invoice not worrying about payment up front. He also called me back to make sure I was happy with the service. We are going to use him again several times this Fall.

We purchased a house in November so there were a lot of leaves that hadn't been raked before winter arrived.
They came to cut the grass in the spring. They came the same day we called them, and they did an excellent job. We would definitely recommend this company for lawn work!!

I had tried other lawn services. One ruined the lawn by cutting in a rain storm. Almost all the grass had to be replaced. Others answered calls gruffly and rudely, saying "I am full for the season," or "Ain't takin anyone new."
When I called GLS, it was a different story. Very polite and encouraging. Sent out estimator the same evening, and cut the grass within 4 days. Did an amazing job, even though he had to straddle the bare spots left by the last cutter. Trimmed, cleaned up, checked with me. I was so delighted to pay for a job well done. The lawn looks better than it has in the previous three years. I
would recommend this service to anyone. They are excellent at what they do.

It's working out really well. I have like 2 acres of grass to cut and they've been cutting pretty routinely. I tried a bunch of people and honestly I was shocked that people would not take me, they were too busy.

Everything is always good! They are professional and on time. They are very responsible and everything is always in order after they leave. The crew is very neat.

Gene was able to provide me an estimate at my home the next day after I called him. Everything in my yard, which includes grass at the curb, a front and back lawn with uneven terrain, and grass in my alley, was VERY overgrown. It would have taken me hours, and several days, at the least, to get my yard under control. Gene arrived the next morning, and in about 45 minutes had taken down the tall grass and tall weeds from all over my lawn, in the areas mentioned above. He also did edging along the sidewalks, and even took out weeds that were growing between the cracks in the sidewalks. I have lived here for about 3 years, and this is the BEST that my lawn has ever looked!!! Gene's service was fantastic!!! He is very professional, and his rates are more than reasonable. Gene has agreed to provide my lawn service for the rest of the season. (The rate will be $30.00 for regular maintenance. It cost more initially because of how overgrown the whole lawn was.) Service was great!!! And it is all thanks to Angie's List!!!

They did an excellent job. He called a day later to call and ask how we liked the service. He gave us a very professional estimate and he said that he would work with us about coming every other week and not every week.

GENE USED HIS OWN EQUIPMENT WHILE PROMPTLY AND EFFICIENTLY REMOVING THE SNOW FROM OUR PROPERTY. SINCE HE RESIDES A NUMBER OF MILES FROM OUR AREA, HE WOULD CALL TO CONFIRM THAT HIS SERVICES WERE NEEDED PRIOR TO SHOWING UP.
