Cherry Lane Motor Inn

Horse and buggies going by the motel all day and night make it an ideal spot for watching the Amish people. The employees were friendly and most rooms were empty. Immediately after checking in I heard loud music blaring from above my room on the second floor. Then the sound of running back and forth for quite a long time. Also sounds of jumping similar to jumping from the mattress onto the floor and again and again. Heavy footsteps and loud television followed the loud music fest. The floors above were wood, the walls were paper thin. Nothing was left to the imagination. Everything could be heard upstairs, next door and outside. Why put guests so close together if motel is almost empty?  Who wants to hear your neighbor use the toilet? Put some soundproofing material in your walls and ceilings. Your guests will love you for it.
Next morning a Sunday at 9 am. workers outside heard carrying mattresses and headboards into all units. Upstairs and downstairs the entire day. I felt like I was in the middle of a construction site. Constant clanging and banging most of the day. I felt unwelcome there. Waste of money for what should have been a pleasant weekend. Live and learn.  My advice, bring earplugs!
