To their credit they are nice guys and hard workers, but my experience with their quality of workmanship has been fair at best. The level of skill performed resulted in problems such as insufficient wall prep work and sloppy painting. Additionally,inaccurate measurements in the carpentry work, flooring, and trim work resulted in less-than-professional results. I am still, after many months, trying to get some of the misaligned flooring fixed. I have repeatedly attempted to get them back to address the installation concerns, with little success. (I had a 5-week period where health issues prevented me from contacting them, but the balance of the 11 months I was available to have the issues repaired) I have had them work on several projects, all with some poor workmanship issues. They have been somewhat responsive to my concerns, but never responsive enough to actually show up and fix the problems in a timely manner. I have contacted them numerous times over the past 11 months to correct a loose flooring installation issue, but have yet to have the problems resolved. These are a few of the many excuses I have heard over the past months; ex.* too busy on another job, *not working in the area, *need to meet with an inspector, *don't have the equipment with me, *my truck is in the shop,*I am going on vacation, *I can fix it when I come back to do a bigger job, *I've been away...just a little of the Marjen Design running commentary. For those reasons, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MARJEN DESIGNS.
