Jays roofing and siding

It went very well, Jay was quite responsive and came out pretty quickly.  He identified where a roof that was under warranty was failing, and patched it up.  He provided pictures of what he found was wrong, and gave us advice on how to proceed in the future.

My house had been neglected for a long time.  I used Jay first when he was with another company and he was excellent, so I called him again directly when he started his own business this year.  He previously had repaired a leak in my main roof which two other roofers could not figure out. He found the simple solution in the grading of the chimney crown.  Among other things, he also corrected misplaced gutters and installed a new roof on my back addition, which it turned out had been nailed to substandard lightweight plywood, which he replaced as well.  He uses the new shadow shingles, which are superior to the old type.  He is terrific – honest, hard-working, and most of all, an intelligent problem-solver.  He always explains everything he plans to do, the reason for it, and any possible choices.  He also does replacement windows, with the same attention to detail and good results.  The men who work with him are great too.
