 + -1 moreThe electrical work turned out okay, but I think he might have cut some corners. The cable he ran had a vinyl covering, which I'm not sure is safe. I should have had him arrange for an electrical inspector to check the work. We needed some outdoor lighting, so he was referred to us by our handyman. He gave us a quote. Everything is working fine, but I had a question about the covering for the cable. We have learned that we need to have an inspector lined up, because that keeps the contractor in line. It's really his job to hire the inspector. He sent out an assistant to size up the work and give the estimate, and then it seemed to take him a long time to come for the actual job. When I mentioned some extra work, he was grumpy. I was disappointed in his response about that. It might have been a nuisance job for him, but he had no right to respond like that.
Description of Work: He ran an electrical line to the detached garage, did some wiring, put in an outdoor flood light, and put up a lantern post with a light-sensitive switch at the end of the driveway.
