"Thank you for your response and your honest review! Unfortunately, we were new to Angie's List at this time, and the "Big Deal" that you purchased from us was created by Angie's List for us. We were unaware of what was promised in the deal, and have since stopped participating in them as a result. We apologize it was not completed to your liking, or what was expected. We will document this and strive for a better solution next time. Had we been told sooner, we could have returned to complete the panel as you wished. We do apologize for any misunderstanding."
"I'm not sure why we received an F rating, and we would like to speak to you about this, if possible. We received your request for a refund before we were able to process your Big Deal, and your Angie's List profile had no contact information for you. Angie's List issued your refund, and we hope this satisfied your desire, since no work was ever scheduled or performed. We appreciate the attempt at a business transaction, but regret that were graded poorly with no contact to our company ever being made. "Your purchase was sent to Angie's List on the 27th and we received notification on the 28th of January. I e-mailed you via the Angie's List message center, without checking the big deal end date for the campaign on my end. Angie's List was in error of recirculating the ad when it had already expired on our end of the contract with them. I messaged you the following day (not 3-4 days) in the Angie's List message center and explained the issue. We also notified you that you are over an hour away from us, and that there would be a $125 trip charge, as somehow the advertisement fell into your postal code when it should not have. (We do not control this on our end). I'll try to explain everything, since I don't think Angie's List will reach out to you on their own: We are new to Angie's List. As a new member, we have "Big Deals" and "Store-Front Deals" that run on Angie's List through eCommerce, which they set up for us. They made the pricing for the Big Deals the same as the Store-Front (Big Deals are supposed to run for one week special pricing, and Store-Front are year-round offers). They made these prices the same in error, and have since been taken down, because we brought it to their attention. The Big Deal pricing is what you were charged, which is supposed to only be a 1 week deal time frame for local work (as it does not bring any profit if we offer it to someone an hour away from our facility, because it takes 2 hours of work away from the technician for the day, just in traveling). In order to do your work based on the correct pricing, we would have to charge you the full price of the correct store-front pricing, which would be $125 more because of you being out of our service area (they also made our service area zip code directory too large). You are approximately 1 hour from our location, which designates a "trip charge" included in that extra $125. Angie's List has made this error, and accepted your payment for $99 in error as well, and has not disbursed it to us. You will need to contact them at (866) 843-5478 to get your payment refunded to you immediately. Unfortunately, without the approval of my Service Manager, I cannot honor the pricing for the distance you are away from our location. I apologize greatly for the inconvenience, the confusion and the frustration. If I had known about this prior to the first contact we made, I could have informed you right away. It has been corrected in Angie's List system and will no longer be advertised. Thank you, Kimberley Konczyk - Office Manager America's Best Mechanical & Eelectrical"
"Our owner grew up 3 streets away from your neighborhood,This has absolutely nothing to do with not wanting to come to your neighborhood, and we are offended that you would think so."
"We accommodate no one on weekend/evening appointments" "As for our technician not calling ahead ? he can take only part responsibility on your son?s last minute cancellation."
"I have already spoken to Angie?s List about this coincidence, We have everything documented, and will not be issuing the refund"
"we wasted (2) technicians? time, (2) technicians? gasoline, and a 3-hour window on our schedule that could have been filled with work"
"We apologize for our technician not calling ahead, but as the paying customer, it is your responsibility to make sure you are home when you say that you will be"
"Also ? all HVAC and Electrical contractors have business hours ? If you try to schedule in the evening, you will accrue overtime charges anywhere".
"our technicians drove an hour in traffic for no work to be performed. We also turned away other business to maintain your time frame"
"Our Service Manager will be billing you a $125 trip charge. This is the flat-rate hourly trip-charge that all of our customers normally incur"
"We have already been paid by Angie?s List, and will not issue the refund"
THIS OUTFIT IS ONLY ABOUT RACKING IN THE $$$$$ IF YOU ARE LOOKING ESTABLISH A GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH A CUSTOMER FRIENDLY ELECTRIAN, THAT YOU MAY NEED IN AN EMERGENCY. THEY ARE NOT THE ONES. YOU GET ON THE WEEKEND OR AFTER 5pm !!!!!
"Hello, Unfortunately, many points of my e-mail to you were left out of this review. We accepted your payment for the $99 Circuit Breaker Labeling and Home Electrical Inspection from Angie's List. We attempted to schedule with you many times - Once our cancellation (due to inclement weather about our technicians not being dispatched) and the rest of the cancellations were on your part, due to your inability to commit to the time frames you chose (and your son also cancelling). When we schedule for the week, we normally prefer to schedule for morning appointments, so that our technicians can head to our large commercial sites for the remainder of the day, or until work comes up. We accommodated several "middle" of the day appointments for you, which were cancelled on your behalf (with less than 24 hours notice). Your final appointment - We had (2) technicians dispatched in both of their vehicles (an hour's drive from you) and your son called to cancel 8 minutes before your scheduled time, when our technicians were within a mile of your residence. Your son also informed me that he had known about his schedule the previous day and forgot to call. Although we understand that inconveniences come up and situations arise, we cannot continue to dispatch technicians to not perform work and hold 3 hour time frames for you to not commit on your end of the service. Also, as I stated in my e-mails both in January when we first started to attempt to schedule with you, and last week (via phone as well): Our hours are posted both on the Angie's List page and on our website. We operate between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Any time after 5:00 pm or on weekends, you are billed for overtime, which is customary with all licensed HVAC and Electrical contractors. This is documented in my messages to you. We cannot employ technicians to work solely for you for a day they are working 40+ hours, and not bill for overtime charges. Also, we normally charge a trip charge (also customary of all licensed HVAC and Electrical contractors) of $125, which is a flat rate that includes he trip, evaluation and diagnostics. We waived this for you, being an Angie's List Big Deal customer. You are also getting this service completed and a greatly discounted rate to begin with, as the purpose being it being labeled a "big deal". Per our Operations Manager, when you are a "no-show" for your service and do not call ahead first thing in the morning or the day before, your relationship with the company is then terminated, unless something of an emergency prevented you from being on-site (and no prior cancellations). We made an agreement with you - instead of being billed the $125 trip charge for (2) technicians being dispatched to your home and being cancelled on, we would accept the $79 we received from Angie's List for your service. This is more than fair, considering the circumstances. As noted on our page, we can accommodate evening and weekend hours, with overtime charges applied. Other than that, we cannot employ a technician to work odd hours without increasing the labor. This is customary and common with any HVAC and Electrical contractor you will reach to do business with. I have passed our full and unedited e-mail threads to Angie's List, and they will handle your inquiry from this point. We regret that you are not satisfied, but we made efforts that have not been equally met. Kimberley Konczyk - Office Manager"
"Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, 2 of your appointments were rescheduled due to inclement weather (snow and ice on the ground), as were all jobs for those days. We cannot expect our technicians to risk their safety and the safety of others on the road, and their personal safety on others' property, for liability reasons. The first appointment was rescheduled due to unexpected emergency work with a previously contracted Commercial client. With such a small crew, sometimes this calls for rescheduling Residential work that is non-urgent. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Kimberley Konczyk - Office Manager"
"Thank you for allowing us to service you. We are ecstatic that you were pleased with the work completed, and that we have gained another wonderful client! We look forward to servicing you in the future!"
"We apologize for our lack in explaining everything to you prior to our departure from your home. We accept full responsibility for this, and will conduct an office meeting to educate our technicians on the importance of this matter. We do hope that you will continue to let us service you for all of our HVAC and Electrical, so that we can show you we have a dedication to customer satisfaction and comfort. We apologize again for the inconvenience and would be happy to have our technician contact you or come back to your home to explain what you aren't clear on. Kimberley Konczyk - Office Manager America's Best Mechanical & Electrical"
"Thank you for your review, [member name removed] . We do apologize for any inconvenience, however, the only address we were transmitted from Angie's List was your billing address. If you'd like to see the screen that we are shown when you make a purchase, we'd be more than happy to show you to clarify. We have no documentation from you (personally) otherwise stating there was a different address, and that is why our technician responded to the address listed via your purchase order confirmation in Angie's List. Although this has been an inconvenience for you and for our technician that day, this is used as a learning experience for us to verify billing/service addresses separately at time of purchase, since the billing and service addresses are not provided to us otherwise. We do hope you will consider us for future projects. Kimberley Konczyk - Office Manager"
"Thank you for your review! We sincerely apologize for not being able to complete the work you were looking for. Unfortunately, sometimes there is not enough room for the equipment without alterations which can result in additional costs and make the price of the "Big Deal" not so much a deal anymore. We try to eye things up by requesting photos ahead of time (in order to save you from/avoid charging an additional trip charge just to view the area of work). We hope that you will still keep us in mind in the future for your HVAC and electrical needs. We'd still love to show you what we can do for you! Kimberley Konczyk - Office Manager"
