I recently hired John to do a mold remediation DO NOT use John Kearns. He is a SCAM. I recently hired John to conduct mold remediation on a house a few months ago. He spent 3 days doing the remediation work and charged $3,000. 2 months later, the mold is back. The exact places where he initially treated the mold have now returned. I called and texted John several times and he REFUSES to come back to fix the mold issue. He clearly did not successfully removed the mold the first time, and now he wonâ t even come back to fix his initial mess. What a joke. Just spent $3,000 and now I have to hire another mold company to clear up Johnâ s mess. He is arrogant scam artist who cannot do his job. Donâ t waste your time or moneyâ ¦hire a professional mold remediation company.

Quoted us for waterproofing our basement/mold removal, and redoing the bathroom there. Did not provide itemized prices even though I requested it. He did not consult us (my husband and me) for the shower or vanity purchases. When he did put in the new vanity and faucet, it prevented the medicine cabinet/mirror from opening. John knew of this but stated. I figured you had enough storage. Aside from that, he did a poor job coating the walls with waterproofing paint because they were not prepped, and he did not do the multiple coats that he quoted us for. When addressed, I was told it is not painted, it is an encapsulant. Either way, it is chipping off, with complete portions and walls left untouched. The step cracks were not touched or sealed. Another room that he did work on was left with rigid foam that he installed, left uncovered - an eyesore now. He came back and gave us a new faucet, and put some more paint in places where it was lacking - a paint color that he chose himself which also did not match the rest of the bathroom. He did that job rushed as well, because the drain was not hooked up correctly and the new vanity got destroyed with water from the sink. He came back again, this time with gray vanity. I honestly just wanted him to be done and get out of my house. Now, a month or two later, it just rained and my basement is full of water. Almost $10k of work, and it all needs redone. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. He talks a big game but was not able to deliver. What a disgrace.

JOHN CONTACTED ME PROMPTLY, SCHEDULED QUICKLY, WAS PROMPT. HE AND HIS CREW WERE VERY COURTEOUS, KEPT EVERYTHING CLEAN. iT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. IF ALL BUSINESS WERE RUN LIKE THIS EVERYONE WOULD BE SATISFIED

John and his son arrived on time both days they did the work and were very friendly. They installed an intake fan in the attic then scraped and sprayed the mold. The next day, they sealed the wood and vacuumed. They even put all of my bins and junk back in the attic for me. I got several quotes and they seemed like the best value. John took the time to explain the fan and control system.

John was very knowledgeable and thorough. He worked effciently and professionally doing everything asked for, plus more.

I called and left John a voicemail over the weekend and he immediately returned my call to discuss my project. We had a great conversation and scheduled a time for John to come out to my residence to do the work. I waited anxiously for him to come to my residence and when the date and time came, he never showed. He never called me to tell me he ran into an issue or told me he was running late. I called him and sent him an email and never heard back from him. Now I see that this company is no longer a trusted professional with HomeAdvisor. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

John is a very friendly, very knowledgeable man in this industry. He didn't do a hard sell and offered solutions over and above just getting rid of the mold. His prices were way more reasonable than the other two who submitted bids.

Very thorough. Found things of which we were not aware and corrected them. John is pleasant and helpful, as are his crew Sam and Dog. Would hire them again.

The person doing the testing is reliable, competent, and willing to answer any questions.

John was great! He really helped us out even though our crisis happened around the Holidays (they worked things out to fit us in). They did a followup visit after remediation and have made phone calls to see how we are doing health-wise after the event (my whole family was getting sick from the mold). John Kearns is a professional. Very transparent with us on the issues and what it would take to fix our mold issues. Prompt response and very punctual. Great team with his son - Sam and his wife. His son - Sam - is a joy to talk with. Very polite - just like his father. His wife is also a wonderful person to know. We can't be more happy with their work.
