Lew came to review the site and provided a very competitive bid. The new patio was to be butted up against an existing patio and the house on two sides, and fitted around a Bilco door to the basement. Space was very tight, with pines that we are preserving on one open side and a very steep downhill grade on the other open side.
He took the time to explain exactly what would be done, what equipment he would use, and how long it would take. He worked with us on scheduling around the almost daily thunderstorms, arrived right on time on the agreed-upon day. He and his helper got right to work, placing plywood on the ground where they were moving the backhoe and other equipment to protect the lawn. They kept the job site very neat, minimal ground was disturbed beyond the actual pad location. Prep work was very thorough, they finished the surface of the poured concrete nicely and made it match the existing patio, cleaned up all their equipment and packed up. Lew stayed around for a bit since a storm was threatening, he was ready to cover the fresh concrete with a plastic tarp but wanted to let it set up as long as possible before covering it to ensure the plastic didn't mar the surface.
We are very pleased with the work, and would definitely hire them again!
