Stone and Gravel Service
I was having difficulty finding the 3/4" Pocono Blend stone that I needed to refill areas of stone around my pool. I was happy to find a place online that was nearby and had the stone I wanted. I called Ridgewood and spoke with Josh. Josh told me that they do have the 3/4" Pocono Blend and that he could deliver it that day. I was happy about that because my son was doing the work for me and I was running out of time for him to get it done before heading off to college.
Delivery was made while we were away for the day. When we looked at the stone over the weekend my husband mentioned that it was smaller in size than the stone we currently have. Once my son started filling in areas of stone around the existing stone (approx. 2 wks after delivery because he was placing stone in an area that did not previously have stone prior to re filling) I too realized that it was MUCH smaller in size. I don't believe it should have been called 3/4" stone. There could not have been more than 10% of the stone that matched that description.
I called Ridgewood to complain and had to leave a message on their answering machine. I left a message detailing my complaint and that I was very unhappy with the stone. I gave my name, address and phone number and asked that someone return my call. No one ever called.
I believe that Ridgewood delivered a substandard product and then acted in an unprofessional manner by not addressing my complaint.
