Since Mike's visit here, to remedy the GFCI maladies endured for nearly 2 decades. I've had "No" issues whatsoever. It will be a year, this summer since his service was performed. Prior to his service, I would have 1/2 dozen or more incidents yearly of GFCI annoyances. Currently, and since last summer I have had no problems, period !
Description of Work: NOTE:This review is in conjunction with my CGR Construction review....Mike is the electrical contractor utilized by CGR Construction.....I had issues with my GFCI electrical outlets in my home. They were an "off and on" problem for years. Last year (2012), I had replaced, refurbished, or updated whatever needed doing so. The GFCI related receptacles/circuit breakers that existed from when I bought the house new (1992) served up bizarre incidents over the years. Apparently in 1992, it was within code to run a certain number of receptacles with a GF (Ground Fault) circuit breaker in main box. The outside rear deck receptacle was the 1st issue I had. It obviously had little or no tolerance outside with wet/damp/humidity oriented conditions and weather patterns. In most cases, whenever I had a moderate to severe rainfall. It (receptacle) would sense this, and throw the breaker in the box. This receptacle was also tied into my bathroom and garage receptacles. And for some reason, was tied into my rear deck outside light, as well. In later years, regardless of conditions, the main GFCI breaker would just trip at random. And to make it infuriating, if it was rainfall affected. Sometimes, it would be days before I could use any of these outlets or light in the back of the house. And both sets of GFCI receptacles (kitchen and bathroom). The circuit breaker would just trip at random for no reason.....Mike replaced all receptacles with ones that have their own trip switch. Outside receptacle on the rear deck was replaced as well. And with an excellent quality level receptacle, versus the "builder's grade" one that was in place prior.
