Not only have we found a contractor we can trust for future projects but also a friend we can call we can call with construction related questions. I highly highly recommend JK Hughes for any of your construction needs!
Description of Work: My wife and I had contracted with JK Hughes Construction to put a front porch on our home. We wanted the addition to appear as if it had been there since new.

 + -1 moreThey did not do work for us. They just did planning for us and showed us a major project in progress to show us the quality of their work which appeared to be very good quality. The people we spoke with about the work we needed done seemed very knowledgeable and eager to share that information with us. Much time and attention was given to us even though they were very busy. The quality we liked about them was that they seemed to be honest and sincere, proud to show us the work they do and not pushy nor hounding us. These are opinions based on what we saw and heard from them, not actual work done for us.
Description of Work: We inquired about the type of work necessary to make our vacation home more livable year-round. Two representatives from the Hughes company traveled from Reading to southern Lancaster Co. to advise us as to what needs to be done to our cottage and what they could do for us. We appreciated that they did this for us at no cost. In addition, they invited us to come to a major local project site that they had been presently working on, to show us that they were doing similar work to what ours would entail. They explained the type of work they did while we were at that site. We felt confident after examining everything they were working on that they would be the right people to do the work for us. However, the job they were on was a major house renovation which we were told would take several months to complete. Thus we did not pursue an estimate from them at that time, but may do so after contacting them again.

 + -1 moreHe is willing to work with you. He is a very nice man, and he is very detail oriented and I appreciate that. He is very clean, and did not leave messes behind.
Description of Work: He put up drywall, put up shelving, he put in new flooring, he used waterproofing paint in my basement.
