They did a good job..

They arrived in a what appeared to be a non-professional truck. I asked for an estimate on replacing some siding at the rear of my house, which was not involved in any storm damage. They gave a quick estimate and then suggested I may have hail damage on my roof. They then briefly inspected my roof and showed me only 2 photos of what could possibly be damage to 2 shingles. They described how I could get a whole new roof from insurance because of the recent hail storm in the neighborhood (true, there was a heavy storm about a month before). They wanted to have the insurance adjuster come to the house and meet with them as they inspected the roof to qualify it for damage. They were quite adamant about being there when the adjuster was there. They also said they would take care of my insurance deductible (ie, I would not have to pay anything out of pocket). Their estimate did not include any price for material or labor, only a very round number. The next day I called my insurance agent, who lives in the same neighborhood as me, a few streets over. He has just put his home up for sale and had an inspection done right after the hail storm, and his inspector reported no hail damage. He said, given that we live so close, he was doubtful I had much damage either. I also found a 2012 PA insurance fraud report online and it had listed Chad's Storm Team as a case example. I did not have Chad perform any work on my property.

Knowledgeable and easy to work with. Crews are high quality and project manager pays extra attention to detail. talked with us about some delays but think they could have been a little more timely or proactive with the communication re any delays they were experiencing that would delay start date and finish, ex. Cleanup, of the project. But nothing too significant that I wouldnt use them again....from our experience, I would use them again.

We signed a contract with Chad's in november of 2010. the work was not completed until the end of july 2011. In January the morning after a blizzard the guy showed up to deliver the shingles and paper for the job. There was 10" of snow on the ground! Where the heck am I supposed to put a skid of shingles?! When the shingles were delivered the second time they put them right on the sidewalk and thats where they sat for 2 months until the work was completed. The contract stated that the work was to be completed in 4-6 weeks. It took 7 months. I believe that the only reason it was done by July was because of our constant phone calls and nagging. Chad himself was very hard to deal with. He was rude and very unaccommodating. We were supposed to have the sheathing as well as the shingles replaced, but they only replaced the shingles and paper. When I called Chad to ask him why the sheathing was not replaced he said "we dont do sheathing". The workers took little care when dropping the removed materials and they destroyed several of my plants. Needless to say no one ever showed up to do the gutters. We had to hire someone else to get that done. I was very tempted to sue for breach of contract and get some of my money back, but in the end I was just glad it was over with. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra to get real professionals who care about their work.

They do a terrible job and their pricing is reasonable. Everything is subcontracted and they do a terrible job. They did not replace the plywood and they come and go as they please. They just show up and you don't know they are here. None of the subs speak English or pretend not to. We needed roofing and siding done and it was a disaster. They forgot to bring the plywood out and when we asked them about it we were told we did not need it so now I need plywood down and my insurance won't cover it. They were supposed to put plastic ice protection under a portion of the roof and they said they did it and we knew they did not. They do very shoddy work and tell you they are going to cover your insurance deductible which, I think is insurance fraud. It was bad, real bad and I will not use them again in the future. After repairs were done by a great roofer we were told that Chad never replaced the drip edge. Pay the extra money and get a great rooofer.

The job did get done and they did the job well except was never on time. took 3 months to finish?? Not on time when he said he would show up or they would do the work. Came to the house when no one home to do some repairs and then never called or left a note to tell us that he did the repairs. So when he came to get balance for the job we thougth they never did the repairs! Not the best comunications and If you use them get EVERYTHING in writing. This was an insurance claim so get an inspector from the insurance to check the work to your satisfaction then send the final payment.
