The first job required hand digging through snow and partially frozen soil. They had attempted to open the line from the clean-out port in the house without success. A hole was cut into the pipe to permit inserting a power snake and for diagnosis of the issue. They succeeded it opening a small path for temporary use.
A few days later, the same workmen returned with a backhoe to dig up the entire run from the house to the septic tank. They were professional throughout the process, explaining what they were doing and what they recommended be done. They installed plastic pipe from the cast iron pipe that extended through the wall into the septic tank. Further they installed a clean-out port where the cast iron and plastic join outside the house. Both times they verified the open flow before leaving.
The job was complicated by the presence of a buried coax cable that crossed in the middle of the ditch. They had discovered it during the emergency service and remembered to avoid it during the digging process and while installing the replacement pipe. Although they were careful throughout the job, the cable was broken during the refill process. Still I give them high marks. The temperature was in the low twenties, the soil was partially frozen and it began snowing halfway through the repair.

They came on a Saturday so I could be there also. They were clean and didn't track any dirt in. They explained what they did to my father and I about the heater. They were very efficient in the appointment.

The first job was fine (well pump). The second job......well put it this way, I would never ever call this company again to do anything. They are the nasty and rude!!! The guy that was here that did some welding burnt a small hole in a plastic piece that fits around the hot and cold pipes of the washer, so I called the company and the secretary was rude when I started to tell her what had happened. I couldn't believe I was being treated this way for something I did not do. I was simply trying to explain what had happened. I was then connected to Bob Landis, the owner's son. I explained to him what had happened (I was very nice), then he started accusing me that we had burnt a whole in the plastic and that his employee did not do this. We bought this piece (fitting) at Lowe's...it was nothing expensive. My point, all I wanted them to do was replace that piece. I told him that I was not going to pay for their services until the problem was corrected. He then became very angry/nasty and said "I will send you to the credit bureau so fast, your head will spin". I think I had to pick my jaw off of the ground. He told me to have Mark (my boyfriend) call him, they know each other from high school. So, I hung up from Bob Landis, (I was furious) and called my boyfriend and explained the conversation to him. He (Mark), called Bob Landis and explained to him that the guy that did the work (welding) did in fact burn the plastic piece. Needless-to-say, Leon C. Landis did correct the problem. As I said above.....I will NEVER EVER have them do any kind of work for us every again!!!! I would never recommend them to anyone!!!

The experience went really well. We're not in their usual service area, so they had to travel quite a bit, which we got billed for. Other than that, everything was great.
