Mike listened well during my initial call. He showed up for a look-see and understanding of my desired project. Gave me immediate feedback to consider. Send me a quotation in a timely manner. Ordered components at NO markup. Offered to purchase the big-ticket items for me if I couldn't (I am a caretaker for my spouse.). Shopped and recommended major components for me to buy. Coordinated all aspects. Thought things through before acting. Installed everything in a timely, professional and extremely competent way (old houses present wiring and "cable-fishing challenges). Offered to remove debris and empty cartons. And thanked me for my business. All around an excellent experience.

Outstanding service

It made such a difference to have our TV mounted above the fireplace - now our living room is much cozier and we have so much more space.  My wife was thrilled that not a single wire is in view.

Mike was amazing! We have a 1950s colonial, and we wanted to mount a flat screen over our fireplace. What made it difficult was that the wall over our fireplace was an exterior wall. I was told by other companies that we would have to have the wires exposed, if it would be able to be mounted at all. Mike took the time to talk with his partner and come up with a solution. He was able to have no wires exposed and it looks absolutely beautiful. Mike not only was punctual and professional, but he was extremely accommodating to me and my husband. We will definitely seek Mike's services again!

Mike handled himself very professionally and was prepared for the job. He showed up as expected for the installation and proceeded deliberately and purposefully. Due mostly to weather and time constraints he had to return a second day to finish the job. He showed me not only how to use the new Sonos system, but also set me up and explained simple procedures for the home theater. I will be recommending him to my friends. The cost listed below was his labor costs. The Sonos system costs the same everywhere and any other costs incurred were specific to my system needs. He provided Boston speakers and gave me options on my spending range, whether I wanted better or best.

Mike asked me what I was looking to do and to explain the details over the phone where he quoted me a ballpark price. We set a date and time at that point as well. That morning Mike was a little late, but called me early and let me know when he would arrive which worked for me. He arrived soon after explained what he and his partner Jason were going to do and asked me questions about what I wanted. They worked quickly and focused on the job, all the time with a friendly and professional demeanor. Not only was the job done early, Mike also had a couple of installation suggestions which in the end saved me money on the install. So, not only was the job done quickly and professionally I also spent less money that I thought I would have to. I originally called another local company that was very highly rated here on Angie's List but I never received a call back, which in this case, worked out nicely. I highly recommend Sublime Audio Video to anyone looking for home audio and video services in the area, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Mike met with us after running the speaker wire, and discussed the various options for speakers.  He did not try to oversell the speakers, nor did he try to up sell us to a new receiver or subwoofer, knowing what our needs and budget were.  The speaker install was quick and, important to my wife, mess free!  All in all, a very professional job and we are very happy with the results.  We'll be calling him back for future audio/video needs.

Great service! Mike Smeed was professional and courteous. He really knew how all of the equipment works together. I'm now enjoying my audio/video system like never before!
