quakertown has been the worst veterinary clinic I have ever been to. In my experience, they never provide adequate energy care for large and small animals. Don’t ever use them they sanction law suits against their clients. I moved to PA about a year and a half ago and have been using them ever since that time. I have had one good experience with them. The quality of care has been horrible and over priced. It is unfathomable that I pay more for veterinary services in Pa then I did on Long Island. An example of their incompetence would be when I called them to come look after one of my baby goats and the vet refused to come to my house or accept me at the office because my goat was only a $50 Animal. Another would be when I brought one of my 7 dogs in for care because he was attacked by someone else’s dog. They kept him overnight said he needed a drain but never placed one. His leg became swollen and infected! I had to go to another vet to get the proper care for my dog. I had been trying to take issues up with their customer service representative but they never call back. I had my last straw the other day and will no longer keep quiet about their incompetence. I am the behavior coordinator at an animal shelter and have over 10 years experience working with companion animals. I also work closely with a rescue. I had been fostering a dog for them and we determined the dog was no longer fit for adoption. We brought the dog to Quakertown for euthanasia and it went horribly wrong because of the incompetence of the veterinarian. I can no longer be quiet and allow them to freely practice bad medicine.

I'm 45 minutes away from them, but I wouldn't use anybody else. They're open 24 hours, 7 days a week. I'm a regular client. I get a 20% discount. Then send me updates all the time and they call me. I'm on a first name basis. I've used all the vets there. They stay and spend the time to talk to you about your dogs. I've been using them for 26 years. I can always get in. The emergency fee is as the same as a regular office visit. They always have a vet and a surgeon there. I'm on a first name basis with everybody. They do an excellent job and I'm very happy with them. I usually don't wait very long. Maybe at the most a half hour.

Dr. Guy DeNardo is a top rated specialist in the orthopaedic field and we personally feel he is the best in the Lehigh Valley area. We entrusted our dog to him and he treated our dog w/ excellent expertise and compassion. He is top notch as a vet specialist and humanitarian. Took the time to review and explain the procedure needed in detail. Fit us in on an emergency basis. Kept us personally informed and acquainted us with the methodology of treatment and recovery, essential to help restore our dog's health. Additionally, follow-up for our dog and with was excellent.

Quakertown Vet has 24 hr emergency care . When my cat suddenly started dragging his lower body across the room at almost 8 pm., I raced to the best emergency vet in the area. We had to sit a few minutes, considering no one else was there, that was upsetting since there was obviously something seriously wrong. The vet knew right away what was wrong and said treating him would only make him miserable and he would suffer. She strongly suggested putting him down. Not prepared for that, it took a bit for me to make a decision and get family there.
I have had pets euthanized by Quakertown Vet in the past. They are very thoughtful and caring. They relax the pet with anesthesia first and then the pet slips peacefully away.
Quakertown vet is pricey. I used to take all my pets there for everything, but because they charged full price for each pet even when brought together and it was more than other places, I began to get my pet shots and anything not an emergency done at other local vet offices that cost less. But for any emergency care, Quakertown Vet is hands down the best.
My favorite vet there is Dr. Consigli. We first rescued the cat I recently had to put down in 2002 and the cat only weighed 1 1/2 lbs and was sick. I brought him to Quakertown Vet, and lucked into Dr. Consigli seeing us. Since the cat was a stray and I was using my own money trying to save its life, Dr. Consigli worked with me charging me less than normal. The cat did not respond to any treatment and was suffering and could not eat. I finally brought him back to have him put down, and Dr. Consigli suggested trying one more thing first. He kept him and did exploratory surgery - and ended up pulling a polyp out of the cat's throat the size of a large shrimp. I brought him home, and he was well immediately. He gained 9 lbs and except for having to get steroid shots twice a year remained healthy until I brought him in to this visit that I am reviewing.
I strongly recommend Quakertown Vet and their expertise. The place is clean and does not smell like some offices do. The cost is the worst thing about this vet office. It is way overpriced. But they are very good vets and if cost is no object, or you are in an emergency, head straight there!

Dr. Elizabeth Clark examined my Umbrella cockatoo who was egg bound and she screamed at me,told me she was going to die, accused me of allowing her to become this way because of how I handled her. I absolutely adored this bird, I was devastated and she did die the next day, thankfully in the care of a COMPASSIONATE competent certified avian vet. Dr. Clark was VERY, VERY WRONG about her accusations. My cockatoo had a reproductive tumor, which caused her to be hypersexual, strain and prolapse. She had several surgeries prior because of the prolapse problem, but we were not aware of the tumor till she had a third surgery during which she died. Dr. Clark was vicious, cruel, unkind and nasty. Upon discussing her with other clients who went to your clinic I found out that this was quite common treatment from Dr. Clark. Its a shame really because you have a beautiful clean, clinic, wonderful reception staff and your other vets are kind and human. As long as Dr. Clark is employed at your facility I will tell anyone who will listen NEVER to go there with an animal. Dr. Clark is a great, great liability to the reputation of your facility. She has caused more than a few clients to leave your facility to go to another vet. I certainly will NEVER GO BACK!!
I reported her to the veterinary board and the complaint will remain on her record.

They are open twenty four/seven. They have a lot of staff but I have my favourite. They always have someone on call to do surgery. There are at least two emergency cases and they can accommodate it. They do three hours check up on the pet when they come in. I am a breeder so I get a discount. There is also a discount for senior citizen. They send notices, condolence card and pet's birthday card. They have very skilled veterinarians. They do have specialists that do come in. I have terrier dogs. The place is a thirty minutes drive from where I live and if it is an emergency, I can make it there in less than thirty minutes. They are fabulous. They spend time with you and they don't rush you. They are personable. I am a breeder and I do dog shows.

They have a whole series of doctors. They are open 24 hours a day. We have been going there for many years. One of the dogs had diabetes, so we put the dog to sleep. We had operations there and that had worked out very well. They provide a quality service 24 hours a day. We like their availability. They have all spectrum of veterinary needs cover including dental care for the dog, small pets to horses and everything else. They cover everything. They are a very substantial service. Their price is high. We keep going back because they have done good job for our dogs.

They checked her out and gave her an injection to help with the
vomiting. There was no blockage blood workup was all negative. Her
blood sugar was a little on the high side so we were told to increase
the insulin a half a unit. She is now a happy little dog.

Wonderful, clean, professional. One of our two kittens needed to be seen by their ophthalmologist, in addition to the regular exam by the veterinarian. The ophthalmologist stated that he is waiving his $100 specialist fee, because our kitten is an adopted stray. In general, we have been very happy with the practice. We have seen three of the vets so far.

My dog, Bliss' liver had too much cancer and would not be able to support her life. I was called about the situation. I decided not to wake her up from the anethesia, I decided to let her die quietly and without any more pain.
All at the hospital were kind and fully professional.
