The initial job went great--they replaced the basement windows, took reasonable care not to disturb the plantings.  After that, not so great.  When they cut throught a wall to put in the French door, they did not hang containment tarps--I had a thick layer of dust throughout the entire downstairs.  The frame-in was to look like my other windows--it didn't (I refinished the doorway) and they left a gap between the threshold and floor--showing the shims underneath.  Then, there was a 1 x 1/2 inch gap where the doors met (and letting in the outside air).  When I told the salesman, he suggested I go to Lowe's and get some weatherstripping.  On a brand new door I just spent over $2000 on!  This job alone was $5000!  They came back for 1 more job--putting a window in a porch.  Leaving with a poorly insulated, and marginally secure installment.  I was hoping the French door debacle was a fluke, but I think their installers need an upgrade.
I have edited this  review as my initial gave a not-so-great grade.  The day after I submitted it, the local manger called me and asked what they could do to make it right.  They came out, fixed the problem with the french door and it works great now.  I give them big points for making good!

John Burke came out and provided us with an estimate and showed us the windows he was going to put in. They also completed the installation of the new windows by replacing any missing or old oak trim brand new oak that was finished the same as the oak already around the windows. It matched perfectly. In addition to the windows, the two installers fixed the front door that had been installed incorrectly by another contractor. They replaced all the windows in our house and they were here for 2 days. It was very cold during those two days, but the got the work completed on time. I write this not about a year and a half after the installation and the windows have been great. All the windows tilt in for cleaning. We have had not trouble with any of the windows they installed.While trimming the back slider that the contractor we hired before never finished correctly, they found it had been installed incorrectly and fixed that door also. I am extremely happy with their work, especially the way they finished the trim. I would hire them again.

The two installers came on time, worked well together. Their brake work on the aluminum fascia was great. The windows operate very smoothly, and they are not the most expensive ones either. they are double hung tilt in double pane windows. The name of the windows is Thermal-Gard. They were done at 3 pm

Project went well and we are pleased.  The work crew completed the job in two days and the job was done to our expectations and home was left clean.
