we contracted with another provider before receiving a proposal - I'd definitely contact them for a quote the next time I need their services as they are prompt and professional.

Estimator called right away after my inquiry and said he would come out to give an estimate. Never heard back from him.

I was told that their "estimator" would contact me to give me a price. I was never contacted. I e-mailed these people twice. Very unreliable. I hope nobody hires them.

My initial phone call was promptly returned. Estimator arrived as scheduled. He was friendly and professional. Within about 3 weeks received call for next day install. They arrived in full force, ready to go. Everyone was friendly and professional. The Foreman and his crew all worked well together. The whole process was well orchestrated. I have to say that I was impressed with the whole process. I'm very please with the finished driveway.

Called a week ago, talked with a human being (women), told her what I needed and she said she'd pass it on to one of their estimators. This was after getting a recommendation from a neighbor. A week later no call. Very unprofessional.

I signed my contract in April, job was to start in May, due to a lot of rain, did not come that month. I would have appreciated a phone call, I had to call 3x, but the crew was pleasant & I would definitely recommend. 5 star.

They arrived when promised. Completed the work to specifications. It was hassle free and stress free. They were neat and left the premises clean.

The M & D crew arrived right on time, worked like demons and completed my entire project in just 3 hours. I was impressed that, instead of one or two guys, there were 5 or 6, (they never stood still so it was hard to count?) and, in addition to the on-site foreman, both Kevin and the Vince, the owner of M & D, stopped by to ask if I was satisfied with the way the work was going. The crew themselves were cheerful, polite, careful, very responsive to my questions and comments and did a beautiful job. They completely removed and replaced a substantial section of the old driveway in front of the garage to ensure that the new paving would remain lower than the garage threshold, and corrected several deficiencies that had been left when the original job was done, both those I had pointed out and some they found and suggested fixing. They either machine- or hand-rolled every part of the new asphalt, not just once or twice, but over and over to make sure everything was well-compacted, and even hand-finished every edge. I really felt that every member of the crew was there, not just to put in his time, but to do an excellent job and that they all really cared that I would be completely satisfied with their work. I’m not going to say that the job was perfect, but I have to admit to being just a little OCD and I am totally happy with the work they did. ? Thanks M & D!!

Crew appeared promptly at the promised date and time. They used road equipment for grading and preparing the base and edges. Some brickwork thresholds were relaid true to the new surface. Once the actual paving began, the exercised a great deal of care in assuring that the desired drainage pitch of the surface was maintained. Because adequate crew and equipment were assigned, the job was completed and cleaned up in one day. A minor issue, clearance of one sliding door on the barn, was dealt with the next day without any problem. The final cost was the same as the estimate. While the cost was not cheap, it is justified by the equipment and manpower devoted to doing the job right the first time.

They kept putting us off after we signed the contract. Did not meet deadline to perform the services and now it will be too cold to complete the project this year.

Excellent job. Driveway looks great. A neighbor asked for a referral due to the quality of the work.

It didn't happen they never showed up

The process and relations with the contractor we selected, Vince Destephano, went very well. We took bids in March and Contracted with M & D Paving in early April, 2016. We were very concerned about having the job started before the last two weeks in May and completed before June 1. Mr. Destephano accepted our addendum to the contract that stipulated the latest starting and completion date, subject only to extreme or persistent rainfall in our area. Mr. Destephano provided a detailed work/cost statement. He worked within those parameters to the end, even though we shifted the entire driveway to the right (without adding area), changed the depth of the drain at the between the driveway and the garages, and added cement rather than asphalt setting for the drain. His excavation subcontractor, Speedy, was also adaptable and willing to meet our needs. The scraping/paving crew, led by Vince, did an extraordinary job.They were knowledgeable, a good team, and polite. Surprisingly they finished in one day. Not only that, they laid down at least 1 inch more of asphalt thickness than was called for in the contract! Finally, as the crew was leaving they spread the remaining unused asphalt at the edge of our entry road where the asphalt pavement was broken or degraded---this was beyond the contract, not requested, not charged for, unexpected, but impressive! We do not write extremely positive reviews often, but took time to produce this one. We highly recommend M & D, Vince Destephano, his Crew and grading Subcontractor for asphalt driveway installation. Was even better than expected.  Vince was fantastic to work with.   This was a really large job and was not going to be cheap but Vince provided us several options that worked for our budget.  He was great at explaining everything in detail without any bs. Stayed in touch throughout the entire job, keeping us up to date on what work would be done and when.  Vince and his crew were very professional, friendly and polite.   On the day work started, everyone was there on time and work began immediately.  When the job was complete, my husband and I were delighted.  We didn't know we could be so excited about a driveway but this one is beautiful---makes the entire house and yard just look great!  Our friends and neighbors were amazed at the transformation.

   The work began on April 29, 2014.  The contractor paved the lane, patched two areas of our driveway, and told us he would finish the paving after the catch basin repair was completed.  He hired a subcontractor to do the catch basin work.  That subcontractor contacted us twice, set two appointments to come to do the work, never showed up,  never let us know he wasn't coming, and never called again.  We placed many phone calls to the Mr. DeStefano, the contractor, that were never returned.  We finally gave up on  this company and in the spring of 2015 had to hire a different company to replace the catch basin before it collapsed. I placed a dissatisfied review on Angies List regarding M & D Paving.
  Shortly after the concrete company was hired, Mr. DeStefano  called to ask if we had gotten the catch basin work done.  I told him we had a contract for it but the other company had to wait for dry weather to be able to install the molded concrete catch basin and pour concrete around the top of it. I decided to give M & D Paving another chance to complete the paving work, expecting to upgrade my Angie's list review of the company if the work was done well.  
   I spoke with Mr. DeStefano a number of times in the summer of 2015, keeping him informed of the progress with the catch basin replacement.  Several times I reminded him that the driveway still needed to be paved, not just the area around the catch basin. At one point I paced out the length, and called to tell him it was approximately 90 feet. The catch basin was installed in July. We were unable to use our garage until the paving would be done around the concrete top of the basin.  Mr. DeStefano asked me to send him photos of the catch basin area so he could determine how they would pave around it. I emailed him the photos he requested.  He hired a subcontractor to do the final paving work and we arranged for it to be done on Sept. 11, 2015. The night before that appointment, we spoke with the subcontractor who told us he was only supposed to pave around the catch basin, not the rest of our driveway. 
I called Mr. DeStefano to ask when the rest of the driveway would be paved and he said it had already been done. I asked him numerous times to come and look at it so he could see it was absolutely not paved. He said if he had to come to look at it he would cancel the paving scheduled for Sept. 11.  Knowing we could not use our driveway or garage until that paving was done, he said they were so busy they probably wouldn't be able to get around to doing it for a long time if it wasn't done that day. He demanded that I pay the subcontractor the remaining amount of the paving contract that day or the work would not be done. Not seeing any other way to get the driveway at least usable, I was forced to allow the subcontractor to go ahead and pave around the catch basin area and paid the remaining $2200 of the contract .
During our last conversation, Mr. DeStefano was very rude and insulting and numerous times refused to look at the work supposedly done by his company without postponing the catch basin paving, hinting that it might not be done until spring.
We spent over $14,000 and our driveway is a wreck. 
We will have to hire someone else next year to do the work Mr. DeStefano was paid to do.
