From my first phone call to Armored, Lori Niles, the office manager and wife of the owner, Curtis, was excellent. She took so much time to explain to me all of the services in great detail that are provided, additional options as well as the post inspection process and the report. This is my first home and first home inspection and Lori and Curtis made it so easy and smooth. The communication leading up to the home inspection was first class....everything in writing and reminder emails about the service being provided...I could not have asked for anything more.

The day of the home inspection Curtis arrived early and was immediately ready to get started. He is one of the most observant individuals I have ever met as well as one of the most engaging. He is clearly a very experienced professional but he is also very understanding of the sensitivity of someone like me who is doing this for the first time. Curtis spent nearly 4 hours in and around the property and took time during the inspection to point out different areas as well as explain to me and my real estate agent. He concluded the inspection with a very informative and detailed walk through to point out some issues/areas of focus. His advice was and is invaluable to me.

Within 24 hours the full and extremely detailed report was emailed to me and the amount of information was astounding! The detail of Curtis' experience is best demonstrated in the report and it is formatted in a very attractive and easy-to-read format.

Priced excellently, service was top notch and the overall combination of experience, professionalism, responsiveness and personalities of both Lori and Curtis means this was a very positive experience for me. I decided to select Armored Home Inspections after checking national home inspector organizations and local reviews. Mr. Niles owner of this company is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors and the National Association of Home Inspectors both organizations have rigorous membership criteria and continuing education requirements. Additionally he is a trainer for NAHI for future inspectors. The experience with Armored started with my initial telephone conversations with Lori Niles. My initial conversations with her put me at ease. She was knowledgeable about the quick turnaround time needed for inspections for purchasers of residential homes. She also was the only representative of a home inspection company to use the knowledge of my inspection timeline to know that the additional radon testing I requested would need to be put in place two days before my actual inspection. The great customer service continued when on the day of my inspection Lori Niles contacted me to alert me of a delay with the completion of the radon testing at 7am so that I would not be caught off guard at the inspection. When I met Curtis Niles on the day of the inspection he immediately put me at ease about a process that could have been very stressful. Mr. Niles was respectful of the home as he came well prepared with a drop cloth to protect the floors and a separate pair of shoes to only wear indoors. As he conducted the inspection he took the time to educate me about the home and areas of concern he saw. He was extremely thorough as he checked every outlet accessible to him in the home and spent an extended period of time exploring the attic on a extremely hot day. When an issue or appliance would not function appropriately he would not immediately write it off as defective he returned to that item multiple times to accurately reflect the true condition. He combed over ever room with the same level of patience taking what seemed like hundreds of pictures of this home. In total he spent approximately 3 1/2 hours inspecting the house. The greatest part of this experience is that in just over 12 hours after my inspection I received a well organized and comprehensive house inspection report with color photos for each item and category covered with an estimated cost summary and a breakdown of marginal and defective items. The report was 56 pages long. We are very happy to have the knowledge about the condition of this home thanks to Armored Home Inspections to help us make an informed decision about proceeding with the purchase of this home.

We needed to get a home inspection asap on the house we are purchasing. I called the office and Lori was very polite and helpful in scheduling an appointment for us within two working days.
Curtis met us at the house - he was a little early and ready to go. Curtis is extremely thorough and very professional. He spent over three hours checking every nook and cranny of the house, roof, grounds, etc. I think he checked every single outlet to make sure it worked. He explained everything he found in easy to understand language. The next day he provided a 60 (!) page report to us via email, fully documented with photos. The home owner had to seal off the basement in order to do the radon test, and he worked with their realtor to come back later and set-up the test.
We wholeheartedly recommend Curtis for your home inspection. Although we didn't need it, we also understand from our realtor that he is very experienced in mold cases.

Curtis Niles met me at the property early in the morning on the day of the inspection. He and his crew of inspectors present themselves in professional attire, bright-eyed, articulate, experienced and knowledgeable. They examined every nook and cranny of the property, indoors and out, top to bottom. They provided insight to the home's present condition, it's construction and detailed evaluation of its systems. Lori Niles assembled a beautifully organized portfolio containing Curtis's in-depth, room-by-room reports and digital color photographs of the property with ratings for every uncovered issue. Ms. Niles is easily reachable to organize logistics, answer questions and solve problems.
