The diagnosis of the cat's condition, including x-rays and blood tests, was undertaken while I waited in the examining room and completed promptly. The doctor, Amy Morris in this case, provided a thoroughy explanation of the cat's situation, outlined the potential that serious (life-saving) surgery could be required, and yet went out of her way to allow the cat a week at home under medication just in case she might improve on her own. Unfortunately, the cat did not improve and Dr. Morris performed the surgery. All through through process, she went out of her way to keep me informed by telephone -- somethimes, multiple times per day -- of what the cat was going through and how the cat was responding. In the end, a few days later, I picked up the cat at the hospital -- slightly the worse for the ordeal, but already showing signs of a return to good health. In the month's since, the cat, despite her old age, has continued in good health and surely has had her life prolonged by Dr. Morris' great work. Granted, the cost of veterinary medicine is spiraling upward at a rapid pace, but if you live full time or part ime in the Poconos and consider your pet a member of your family, then I recommend the folks at Pocono Lake Animal Hospital as the right vet facility to use should your pet ever need first rate veterinary care.

At 17, I was becoming concerned about the cat and brought her in to see Dr. Miller for the first time. She is an unfriendly cat, but took to Dr. Miller immediately. He did the usual tests and assured me that she was in good condition and that it was obvious I had taken good care of her during our 17 years together. I have another kitten and a little lap dog and they all hate the vets office, but go to the staff and vets and technicians without hesitation. Real Animal Lovers and I am so glad we found them!

It went well. They treated me animal very well. My bird had some issues earlier in the year and they were able to diagnose and get him on the right track. I have no complaints and the staff was very nice. The vet spent over an hour with us, nice and very thorough. They are a little pricey but worth it.

Dr. Miller is probably one of the best veterinarians in the area and I wouldn't be going there for twenty five years if it wasn't good. It is very easy to enter his office. He has got very good manner with the patients and their pets and there was some situations where my wife needed a shoulder to cry on and he was there for her. So he is a very compassionate veterinarian.

They are really very good. Not just the veterinarian, but the technicians are excellent. The receptionist people are excellent. They are flexible with scheduling appointments. If it is an emergency, they will get you in right away. If you need an appointment tomorrow, they would be able to get you in.

POCONO LAKE ANIMAL HOSPITAL has been with us for more than a year on a regular basis. They take care of my three dogs. They are very attentive and very responsive. The supporting staff there are all excellent. They are all attentive and knowledge. They all make the experience tolerable in dire situations.
