It went incredibly well in every way. I am a very discerning person who knows exactly what I wanted and Liberty worked well with me on every level. My husband and I intially interviewed over a half dozen builders and knew without a doubt that Liberty was the right company. We knew we could trust them and were not disappointed in any way. Family and friends were amazed as there was not even one negative experience with these marvelous and talented people during the entire process including the tweaking of my design to architectural standards, the site clearing and building itself which took about 10 months in all, and the punch work. Liberty exceeded my expectations in every possible way. I was consulted at every stage of construction and was actually called asked to visit the site numersous times for exact placement of certain things even though I visited at least once or twice a week from my home in New Jersey anyway. They were always on schedule, no small thing considering that there were 4 large snowstorms in Pennsylvania that winter. We were duly impressed that they somehow scheduled it so that the wood never got wet. Tyvek and roofing were expedited to ensure that. The 2 x 6 frame was bone dry through the entire process. I have 42 custom light fixtures and fans that were put exactly where I wanted. I was even consulted on exactly where I wanted each light switch. Now that's really custom! Every man on site was skilled and knowledgeable about his particular area. The tile work done is artfully done exactly according to my design. Materials used were top quality. I chose the tiles, appliances, lights, wood floors, cabinets, carpets, and custom paint colors. But the construction materials routinely used by Liberty, such as wood, insulation and roofing were of top quality as well. My cousin who is an out of state builder and home inspector is extremely experienced and knowledgeable in all phases of building. He visited several times are was really impressed with the workmanship as well as quality of materials. The house is well built and 'tight" This is evidenced by the fact that I am now in my home 3 years and it is warm in the winter, very well insulated with no drafts, and cool in the summer. I have only needed the central air on twice due to extreme humidity. It remains cool inside on the hottest days so it is extremely energy efficient. In addition to master craftsmen, these men are neat freaks! Every day, no matter when I visited, the work was done neatly, considerately, and was cleaned up right afterwards. At the end of the workday everything was swept and/or vacuumed. But the best surprise of the entire positve experience for me is that every single person at Liberty was just as nice and thoughtful as they were trustworthy and competent. Liberty is most certainly the company to go with if you want a quality home or remodeling built. And although they specialize in custom work they also have a zillion wonderful plans you could choose from and customize to your exact specifications if desired, and they have many other satisfied customers in the area whose homes you could visit for first hand look at their impeccable work as my husband and I did.
