I think Joe English is great. Very reliable and trustworthy. We started using his services to check out our boiler each year before winter. Then when we needed repairs, we'd give him a call. I always found him to be honest and straightforward. He knows what he is talking about and his advice is sound. I highly recommend his services.

I had recently moved, and needed my vintage 1934 gas stove hooked up. It was Monday of Thanksgiving week, and I was hosting dinner for my family, so I needed service quickly. When my regular plumber said he could not fit me in, I called several other plumbers and left messages. Joseph English returned my call within an hour, let me know that he happened to be in the area, and could do the service that evening. He arrived just as I got home from work, and about an hour later, the work was done. After looking the stove over, he determined the size connector kit and fittings, which he had on his truck, made the connection, wire brushed the burners to assure there were no blockages, and tested the stove and burners to make sure they lit and worked properly. He was thoroughly professional and pleasant. The service struck me as a little pricey, but it was short notice, and i could not have asked for better service. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Joe came and attempted to roto-rooter the sewer line, and encountered a blockage that indicated a collapsed pipe underground.  So he got the necessary permits and had the right sized back hoe for the job that could get into the awkward space in our side yard.  He found the broken pipe, tested the remaining pipe, made a new connection, and back-filled the hole all in one day.  He restored the fence panel that he had had to cut out in order to gain access with the back hoe in a way you could hardly tell it had been removed.

.I brought Joe in to tell me if it would be feasible to move the boiler.  While another plumber told me to find another solution unless I wanted to spend $15K to redo the piping so it would slope away from the boiler (to keep the system silent), after just a 10 minute visit, Joe spent over an hour at the house trying to identify a solution without having to completely redo the piping.  Then he worked up a piping plan that would keep it silent in the new location that, while still very expensive, was considerably cheaper than $15K.
When I subsequently learned there was another solution for the fireplace that was much less expensive, I offered to pay Joe for the time he spent on the piping plan.

Very easy.  They are my plumber.  I will definitely use them again.
