It went pretty well. They changed it quickly while I am waiting. Wifi and coffee provided in the resting area.

This place is absolutely top notch. The mechanics and owner take their time explaining and showing you what is wrong and give various options for fixing things on your car! My turbo had gone bad and there were some cheap ways to fix it and some very expensive ways to fix it, and with the friendliest staff I've ever talked to in the automotive business, we worked out a cost effective and long term replacement of a major part of my car. After the work was completed, it feels as though the car is driving like brand new again!

I have had oil changes and routine maintenance done there.

The service and communication were excellent, and John did a great job explaining everything to me and authorizing all repairs before he did anything. John and his crew know German cars cold, I would not hesitate to bring my car to them again. Service like this isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than going to a dealer.

I'm giving this report an F for a simple reason. They were dishonest with me, and that is simply unacceptable. Please note my service experience was a number of years ago now (2004), but I think it still important for people to know to be aware and do your homework. I brought my BMW E46 3-series in for an oil change and PA inspection. The car was 4 years old, with around 40K miles, just out of the original factory warranty. John (owner) informed me I needed brakes to satisfy PA inspection. I was surprised (i didn't drive the car hard), but didn't question the recommendation since German was recommended by a friend. I was willing to have the brake pads replaced but was shocked when he insisted the rotors must be replaced as well (more parts, more labor). As a bit of insurance, I asked them to provide the original rotors to me when complete (which they did). Their service work is good--they are technically competent on BMWs and Porsches--no doubt! I didn't have a problem with the work they performed, just the recommendation and insistence that (1) brake replacement was required (2) rotor replacement was required. Neither were true. I did some digging after my service experience and measured a 1mm wear surface on the old rotors. This is well within wear limits by the manufacturer, and I have since learned thru various online forums what service intervals and what technical details are important to look for BMW service. They simply wanted to upsell me on the cost of replacing rotors/brakes because I was a relatively new customer and I looked "green." I used the rotors they installed at that time for over 110K miles since! (the used OEM parts for the rotor/pad replacement). Their position that my original brakes wore out at 40K, while my replacement set lasted well over 100K simply doesn't add up. I didn't drive differently. I haven't been there for service since.

I used their on line appointment scheduler which worked well and saved me time. They provided the services I neede and I found the entire experience completely painless. True ... I wish it cost less but that is the nature of owning an expensive German car.

The quality of their work was good. They were responsive and punctual. I will continue to use them in the future.

I like that they have expertise in keeping high mileage cars on the road. They are able to get the vehicle back to you when promised. I think that you get the service that you pay for.

The car has been working great since then. I have been going to this shop for about two years, and have always been satisfied with the work that they do. For this last job, another place had put in the wrong brake pads and that is what was causing the problem or the noise. German Auto figured out the problem right away.

The job was done quickly and well. I have some other work to do and they gave a very competitive price so I ordered the parts.
