About one year ago, construction was completed on both our master bathroom and powder room. Jon Domers and his crew were great to work with, as well as the additional contractors needed to finish the job. They were always professional, reliable, punctual, honest, and trustworthy. Jon Domers guided us from start to finish and provided us with reassurance and assistance when needed. He was organized, confident, and helpful. We absolutely love our new bathrooms and would highly recommend Domers Construction to anyone.

Jon is a true professional and exhibits qualities that one looks for in a contractor – he is honest, courteous, punctual, and finished right on budget/estimate. He’s also a great communicator that works well with technology making multimodal communication a snap. Jon was great at helping envision the entire project and then breaking it in to manageable pieces. Jon helped layout a big project (roof, kitchen, bathrooms, windows, etc.) in to reasonable smaller projects that can be accomplished over a period of time as your budget allows – ensuring work you do now makes sense for work you may need to do later. This project went along smoothly and in a timely manner. Jon and his crew always left the work area clean. They were always professional and worked well in our busy house with 3 kids under 5, a mother-in-law, a dog, and a cat. My wife and I made some adjustments to the project and Jon provided thoughtful suggestions/consults to make sure we got what we wanted within our allocated budget. Jon delivered a high level of craftsmanship with attention to detail that resulted in an outstanding finished project. Everything met our satisfaction and the roof dormers and porch dormers look original to the house. Without a doubt we will be hiring Jon again.

From the very first day of remodeling, we were very happy with the work ethic of all the workers. They were courteous and friendly throughout the entire project. They protected our house as they moved materials and tools in and out of the house. At the end of each work day, they made sure that no tools or materials were left in our way and that any debris that had been made while working, was totally cleaned up and removed before they left for the day. The project moved along in a timely fashion. My husband and I added to the project during the construction. Jon discussed the additional time and finances that would be needed so that we could make an informed final decision about the additional work we wanted. Friends and family members that very well knew what our "before and after" second floor looked like have been in awe when they looked at the "after". Many have asked us if we had Jon's business card so that they could contact him to work on one of their pending projects. My husband and I are thrilled with and proud of our new space. It is a dream come true for us and incorporated every aspect that we wanted. We are extremely happy that we decided to have Jon do the work to our home and make it so special for us.

Jon Domers Construction did a full "revamp" of our main living space. Having bought our home two years ago, there were some elements that just were not working for our family. Mostly we were addressing the aesthetics inclusive of lighting. We contracted with Jon Domers to manage the work - his bid was competitive & he had the flexibility to meet our needs & let us finalize elements (and budget) as we progressed, Jon focuses a great deal of attention on communication (which is helpful for a control freak like me). Even prior to work starting on the room, Jon had worked out a plan for execution & had gained our alignment. When surprises come up (like the always will on a project), Jon was very transparent with information and was helpful to work through revised plans. For example, when there was a delay on the supply of our stone, Jon reworked the schedule to enable work to be staged continuously. Additionally, we we made changes along the way (i.e., remove French Doors) Jon was able to create a plan for execution.

Jon Domers is an excellent general contractor. He has now worked on three very different remodeling projects for me and I have been very pleased with the results. He is professional and only associates with equally professional subcontractors. The work was done on time and on budget. He was flexible with design options to meet my budget. He also has an eye for detail and finishing touches. Jon himself is a pleasure to deal with - personable and reliable and creative.

We hired Domers Construction to perform a compete renovation of our kitchen and eating area. Jon Domers and his team transformed a cave of a kitchen into the most beautiful space in the house. This was no easy feat. Starting from a dark, awkward, cramped inefficient out-a-date space, Jon helped us to imagine and realize the kitchen of our dreams. He listened to our ideas and understood our limits and always knew how to make constructive suggestions and recommendations. His touch is flawless, both at the level of skill and at the personal level. His subcontractors also demonstrate the Domers touch, and the work was expertly coordinated throughout the project. We will return to Domers for whatever construction needs we have in the future, big or small. Jon Domers is a master craftsman, but no detail is too small for his attention, his pricing is fair, and his attitude is unfailingly positive and professional. Jon is the person you want to put and keep your mind at ease whether the project is big or small. He is the most capable craftsman anyone could ever work with.

Full disclosure - Domers Construction is owned by my brother. The project management was excellent and all the work was done in a timely and clean manner. We are thrilled with the playroom and our basement is much more functional with the defined laundry and storage spaces.

I was worried! I had done renovations on a previous home years ago and thought I knew what I was getting into. I dreaded it. But my relatively extensive new project on my 80 year old home had to be done. I interviewed 3 contractors recommended by my architect. I chose Jon Domers of Domers Construction,LLC, because his estimate was reasonable and he listened and responded to my thoughts and concerns at that first meeting. I signed a contract with Jon after being fully informed of his billing process, expectations and limitations. We were on the same page. Jon was actively part of the planning process. He, my architect and I would meet to discuss details. Jon patiently took time to explain what I did not understand. Construction started in February 2015, one of the iciest winters I can remember. Jon and his crew showed up every day. Several times they chopped ice and salted, clearing my driveway and porch so that I was safe and work could progress safely. Jon's attention to detail was meticulous. Not only that, but I lived in my small house during construction! Jon and his crew made sure everyday that interior and exterior spaces were left clean and orderly. They dusted furniture and mopped floors at the end of each workday. Re-arranged furniture was moved back daily so that I could live somewhat comfortably. Jon handled a difficult neighbor, with whom I share a driveway, with diplomacy and finesse. I am absolutely thrilled with my new home and my experience with Domers Construction,LLC. Jon, you're the greatest!

First off Jon is very thorough and transparent in the estimation process, everything is documented. Jon and his team were on time every day and early most days (I am not kidding!). Jon does a fantastic job with managing the project and letting us know when something was not accounted for in the original estimate. Jon actually uses email and replies to all communication. Jon's craftsman are just that, the quality of work and level of detail was outstanding. On top of that they were really nice guys!

we reached out to Don Marquard of Black Dog Architects Co. because of the work he had through our neighborhood. Don was very helpful with his suggestions.Don recommend three builders which we contacted. Out of the three we picked John Domers Builders.John is very easy to work with.He keeps you fully informed about what work will be done and when it will start. He is on the job every day. Any questions you might have is explained and taken care of . He said the job would take three and a half to four months. the job finished with in that time frame .Any questions you might have is addressed. Job site is keep clean no trash left laying around. We are very pleased with all the work done and would use Domers Construction again. One other thing, being in construction my self I know what can happen do to delays of material . Every thing came on time .
Definitely use Black Dog Architects and John Domers Construction again.

Quote/Bid Process: Jon Domers had by far and away the most professional, detailed presentation. With many contractors, often times you're dealing with folks who are rough around the edges and have no obvious background in business. Our experience with Jon was the opposite. You know from the beginning that you're dealing with "an adult" that knows the ins & outs of his business and will make the best recommendations for your situation.
Pricing: Not necessarily the least expensive during Bid. That being said Jon fully explained the value of everything he proposed vs the competition. A) You get what you pay for. B) Often times someone will low-ball you to win a bid & attempt to upcharge later. His was honest, professional, and in the end spot on.
The Work: Some of the best work that I've ever seen, anywhere. This company wins awards for good reason! Their design ideas are unique and elegant. The detail work is second to none. The work is completed in a manner that tells you these people have actual pride in what the give their clients. I felt like I went back in time 100 yrs and hired a real craftsman.

In a nutshell, over the course of the project I had the sense that Jon was doing the work for his own family and doing the way he'd want it done. Our working relationship was stellar. He was receptive to ideas and changes "for the good of the project". I wish I worked with more folks like Jon in my own field.
A couple ofexamples of how Jon handled "bumps in the road":
-One of his subs had to drop out of the project unexpectedly. Jon found a replacement within a week. This allowed the project to proceed without a hitch·
-There was a minor issue with the blown in insulation which Jon found after the vendor had left the site. Jon insisted they return to make it right.
My biggest ?hats off? though was that when it looked like we?d still be ?under construction? at Christmas, Jon made sure that we were 100% squared away by December 23rd. Paint was dry, dumpster and port-a-potty removed, everything cleaned,
swept and dusted. (That?s right: Part of the service was that Jon hired a cleaning crew to come in and do thorough job of cleaning our entire house after he and all his subs were finished!)

We were referred to Domers Construction by a friend who had used their services in the past. While the project that we requested was not a large project, Jon Domers and his crew treated us like we were their most important customer. Jon visited our home and provided a prompt estimate. The project began on time and finished earlier than anticipated. The quality of the work performed was first class. The Domers Construction crew kept the project area clean and prevented the rest of the home from becoming dirty.
Jon Domers communicated with us daily regarding the status of the project and made sure we were nothing less than thrilled with the work performed. It went very well. The contractor was extremely sensitive to my concerns and desires including going to great lengths to protect Faux-painted walls. The subcontractors were very neat , clean and responsible. Everyone worked well together to get the best possible result and the workmanship of the end product was exceptional.

John and his carpenter came the same day they were contacted by our painter. They started right away and finished within two days, never preventing the painting team from doing their work.. They were very efficient with their time and did really good work. Highly recommended.

Loved working with this company. Jon Domers is hard-working and responsive -- he was always willing to answer my emails and calls, from the beginning of the project until the end. Before we even selected Domers Construction to do our renovation, Jon prepared a detailed proposal, indicating all of the projected costs for the project, so that there wouldn't be any surprises. There are always some surprises with a big renovation, and we had a few, but nothing a contractor could have foreseen, and Jon walked us through everything and always laid out our options in a clear and concise manner. He and his co-workers worked diligently for the length of the project, and we love the final product.
