I was impressed with Apex in comparison to other roofing companies because: - they sent an actual roofer to perform the estimate, not a salesman. - they were the only company to take the time to actually inspect my roof before giving me a quote. - they were straightforward and upfront with respect to cost, quoted me a competitive price, and didn't play the "special deal if you commit today" game. - they were accommodating to my schedule even considering weather delays. - they were responsive and communicated with us throughout the project. - they insured that the project went forward without a hitch and we were taken care of even through a very difficult time for their company. - they took any and every concern of ours seriously, no matter how small. - they followed up with us after the project and even after we'd paid them, to be sure we were completely satisfied. One thing that stuck with me was that both James and Andy mentioned that they knew they weren't always perfect - it's construction after all - but if anything comes up, they'll make it right. And that's exactly what they did.

Everything was completed on time and to my expectations

Our back deck and exterior siding needed to be replaced since they were practically falling apart. Spoke with Andy and he was able to get us an estimate before I even had a return call from somewhere else. The prices are reasonable and everyone I talked to was professional and honest. The work was done quickly and Andy was always in contact with me by phone or was on site with updates. I felt really comfortable with the crew and the quality of the work was great. Overall it was a smooth experience and I will definitely use them again.

Very Well!! The crew came on time and did more than I expected. I have many valleys so there were a lot of cap shingles and they caulked every nail. I was amazed at their attention to detail. Andy was knowledgeable, answered my many questions and was not pushy. His product sold itself. He followed up after the job was over to make sure there were no additional concerns. We had a problem with the solar fan but he came back and made adjustments to get it working as expected.

Everything went exactly according to plan, they were punctual with their start time and although they had to take a break due to rain they were still able to complete the project in a timely manner. Andy was awesome to deal with and made the whole process simple for me. Getting the quote was easy, finance was easy, and the end result looks great.

Excellently! James and his team were outstanding. They had the old roof off by @9:15AM and worked diligently all day long to get the new one done right. Cleanup efforts were great. One of his guys even climbed a tree to pull down debris from the job. And of the 3 Angie's List roofers I spoke to, Apex was the best price! Can't thank you enough, James. Apex is the only roofing service I'll recommend to friends and family.

The project went extremely well. Andy, one of the owners, was always available if we had a question. The workers did a great job. They worked for 12 hours straight, with only a lunch break.

Their crew arrived right on time and proceeded to remove the layers of old shingles and replace with new. One of the owner, James Irving, was present to assure all was going smoothly. Job went like clockwork. Crew was neat and very professional. Left our property neater than when they started. Roof looks great and we are very pleased.

We had 4 estimates from various roofing contractors that served southeastern PA. 2 of the 4 were known from family members in the roofing business. Apex was not one of the known entities but we knew from our first interaction with James that Apex would be our choice. Competitive pricing aside, James' knowledge, proactivity in ensuring we fully understood all aspects of the job, and service-oriented demeanor made this a much more pleasant experience than we ever expected. Throughout the process, James assured us that the Apex team's attention to detail was unparalleled and that integrity of our almost 100 year old home would stay in tact with tasteful copper flashing, etc. Also keep in mind, our home has a very complex roof structure with several pitches, valleys, dormers, chimneys, and a flat roof, as well. On the first morning, the Apex crew laid tarps around our entire house, also vertically - protecting the exterior walls. They moved quickly and moved onto the new roof installation before we knew it. James was present much of the first morning, and at least 4-5 times over the course of the 2 day job. At the end of the project, James walked the perimeter of the home with me to ensure that everything was as expected and to my delight, it was perfect. I should also mention that there wasn't a single piece of trash or building material left behind. A best in class job with impeccable service. The roof has been installed for a few weeks now and is a perfect addition to our home. It's beautiful and 100% water tight. I highly recommend Apex to anyone considering a new roof installation.

We worked with Andy, and the entire process from beginning to end was awesome! Quick response, honest feedback, professional, great communication, job scheduled and done in a very timely manner. Job completed in one day, including all clean-up (a couple other homes in our neighborhood have had roof replacements lately and they were two or three days for completion). We received a very high quality, top notch product and service at a very reasonable cost. Andy had taken a picture of our house and with his computer program, was able to show us the color samples on our own house, which was amazing. Our new "charcoal" roof is absolutely BEAUTIFUL !! We highly recommend Apex for anyone who needs a new roof. Andy and his employees made the whole process simple and stress-free for our family!

Great! If I could give an A+ I would. Andy responded within 24 hrs and came out the following day. He was very detailed with the inspection after which he sat down with me to explain all of my options but it was obvious, the architectural shingles with the 50 year warranty was the way to go. He left me with a proposal which was extremely fair. Using the offer fron Apex as the benchmark, i had 4 other roofing companies come out but none came close to Apex so i decided to go with them Andy explained the process, called the night before to explain not only what was going to done but also who would be completing the work. He did that for the roof and the gutters. He called later each day to see how everything went and if i was happy with the work and i was. I hope to get my siding replaced and Apex will be the company I use

Terrific! The contractor provided a clear estimate after inspecting my roof. He showed me the products available and answered my questions clearly. An installation date was promptly set. The date needed to be changed because of rain & wind and the contractor was in close contact with the new date. The team arrived promptly on installation day. They were professional and very focused on completing the job. The team protected my shrubbery & cleaned up after they were finished. There weren't any "add-ons" to the estimate. I used my Angie's List coupon & came in under what I had budgeted.

As noted above, Apex earned straight A's! James and his crew were very pleasant to work with. They went above and beyond to clean up thoroughly at the end of each day and when they were done, our landscaping was neater than when they started. James' meticulous attention to detail, collaboration with us on the design choices and professionalism made this project a pleasure (not how our friends who used other roofers had described their experiences!) We have already recommended them to a neighbor who is going to use them.

Professional, timely, set up and cleanup effortless. Roof started and completed in one day, including cleanup. Would recommend this company to others. Customer friendly. And price was very reasonable as we did a comparison.

We were extremely happy with how smoothly and seamless the whole process went from beginning to end. From the first phone call, where I spoke with James, one of the owners, I was impressed with his professionalism and the conversation we had about the roof and the leaks we were having. He immediately looked up our address online so he could get an idea of the type and size roof he'd be working with, as well as the management company of our HOA we'd be dealing with. The following day, both James and Andy, the other owner, came out to look at the roof and give me an estimate. They were prompt and came at their appointed time - not an hour or two early or late or within some window of a few hours, like other contractors I've worked with in the past, which I really appreciate. They were very friendly and courteous as well, putting me at ease from the outset. They inspected my roof and thoroughly explained all aspects of the installation, as well as each of the materials involved in the process. They also showed me a video presentation of their crews working on a roof, so I would know what to expect ahead of time. They gave me their detailed proposal right then and there, unlike other contractors where I've had to wait a few weeks and the way it's written up is more general. I was waiting on a proposal from a previous contractor I'd used over the years and it had already been a week since he'd been out to look at my roof, and I had an appointment to meet with someone else that same day, but I was already leaning towards using Apex before they left. These guys are really on the ball when it comes to running their business, with excellent customer service all the way around and instilling confidence that everything will be done right. They were able to get me on the schedule within the next ten days, weather permitting, and the whole job was completed in one day, which was awesome. They took care to protect my landscaping and my deck, which also put me at ease. James was also very helpful in dealing with our not-so-friendly management company to complete the approval process required by our HOA. We highly recommend Apex Roofing & Exteriors and would not hesitate to use them again for future projects, such our siding that will need addressing one day.

Excellent! I found Apex Roofing on Angie's List and I'm back to recommend them! We had 5 or 6 companies out for estimates on our 19-sq roof (HOURS of appointments, with estimates ALL over the place). I was unsatisfied with 3 of the companies that had come out so I took to Angie's List to find more options. I found 3 more options here and contacted them immediately. 1 never got back to me at all, another and Apex Roofing responded the very next day! The process started when James called me to get a little background information on the job and what needed to be done and then we scheduled a [free] estimate with Andy- within 48 hours! We set up a time during the week that was agreeable with my schedule. Andy arrived on time and was very professional. He measured everything, explained the products used (Timberline, snow country ridge vent, etc). and provided the estimate (no long, drug out appointment that lasted hours). While Apex was not the lowest bid, their rate was extremely fair, their ratings and reviews were all positive, they use quality material and products, and their time-frame to get the work completed was perfect. We signed with Apex Roofing that night (totally my decision- no pressure from Andy to make a sale). At the end of the appointment, we selected a date the following week to get the job done (weather permitting). Apex roofing kept in communication throughout the week because the weather the day of the job was questionable. The day of, Apex roofing arrived on-time but decided to post-pone until the following day due to light rain was in forecast. I appreciated this because it wasn't raining hard or for very long and some companies would likely try to do the install anyway. The job was from 7:30 am- 3:30/4pm. Throughout the process, Andy communicated with me what was going on, how much wood needed to be replaced, etc. The workers were fast and efficient and my roof looks great! They cleaned up the entire site throughout the duration of the job and put everything back in its place. I did a final walk-around with James and Andy and they explained what was done and reminded me that my roof is now under warranty so should I ever need anything, just give them a call. Overall, I had a great experience with Apex Roofing and would recommend them in an instant!

Went excellent! Showed up. The roofer that I worked with that came up with the quote was very professional, very nice, explained everything. We set a date to do it, they came in on that date, they completed the job. It took one day. They put tarps over my shrubs. They put a dumpster in my driveway, they slid everything down into the dumpster. They had people periodically clean up things that got blown off. It was fine, I had no problem with them.

The job went really well. Andy was very helpful and pleasant to work with. He provided great suggestions for a color and trim as we couldn't make up our minds. Andy was very patient with me and answered all of my many emails during our decision process. Installation began on the date promised and the crew arrived on time each day and worked til dark. They were very hard working, courteous and great to interact with. The guys had great attention to detail and would answer any questions we may have had. Overall we are very pleased with our choice of siding and the whole process. We would definitely hire them again.
