It didn't go. They stated over the phone that they were unable to repair a convertible tablet computer. (This is the type of computer that can function as either a tablet, with a touch screen, or a laptop, by docking it to its accompanying keyboard.) I explained that all the computer needed was to have the keyboard and the wireless card replaced but they said they couldn't do it. Since I later found instructions on how to do it right on the HP web site, I feel that this company fails to live up to its name ("Computer Visionaries"). Tablets and convertible computers are the cutting edge in technology, so any company that claims to be able to do computer repairs ought to be able to fix ANY computer--including tablets and convertible tablet/laptops.

The technician found that the laptop problems were in the hard drive and used several repair discs to fix the problem. Running these discs took a while so he worked on the other computers in the meantime. Changed the channel setting on DSL to a less frequented one so it would connect more quickly, adjusted settings for updates and scans, and fixed a couple of annoying things like the "you have cds waiting" popups (which was not the simple fix he expected.) Did similar fixes on the other two computers to make them quicker. He also explained many things to me so that I am now much more knowledgeable about computers. The whole experience was very good.

I have an extensive computer and surveillance system. They came out on five different occasions. They charge around 75.00 an hour. Even though they came many times they only charged me for an hour.
