Weisshouse is a retail home furnishings store specializing in high-end flooring, furniture and kitchens. Founded in 1943 as The Modern Curtain and Rug Company, Weisshouse now resides in its 14,000 square foot home on Pittsburgh’s Highland Avenue. Stacy Weiss, President and owner of Weisshouse, has spent the past 28 years building and evolving her family’s business – from one that focused only on rugs, to the diverse and unique offerings today. From her initial role, selling blinds, to the present, Stacy has acquired an enthusiasm and keen eye for design that has fortified the reputation of Weisshouse. Our staff selects furniture and accessories from the world’s most original manufacturers. Sofas, sectionals, dining tables, beds, consoles and more are on display in our Shadyside gallery. We also feature a wide inventory of flooring – with over 5,000 samples of shags, sisals, wiltons, and axminsters, as well as exotic and traditional wood and cork flooring, all harvested using sustainable forestry practices. Weisshouse specializes in custom-made kitchens, featuring the best in European design. As the most frequented room in any home, our designers understand the remarkable beauty inherent in functional design.
