ince is excellent. He is able to think outside the box. The kitchen cabinets and sow was provided by a kitchen designer. Vince was able to tweek the plans to improve the water supply line layout. Originally there was to be a bump out but he figured a way to get the pipes in the wall and well insulated. I highly recommend Vince for any job.

We were comfortable having them in our home and they were respectful of our home. They were able to keep the project pretty much within budget. They were so precise in their measurements, they were perfectionists. Vince had high quality workers who helped in on the tile work. I would recommend his services to others.

We started with Excel Kitchen Center, which used Ventura Contracting to implement the plans we worked out. Demolition of old tile walls and a non load-bearing wall was required. The initial demo took about a week; after that, we could begin to live normally again without noise or dust. At each day's end, things were swept and left fairly clean. Our garage (just off the kitchen) made a handy staging area and storage for tools. Cabinets, appliances and flooring had been ordered ahead of time; countertops had to be measured and ordered after work started. The sink and dishwasher plumbing had to be moved across the room and all new electrical supply had to be added. Ventura had at least two people working steadily on the job from the start, whether for demolition, electrical work, plumbing, tile work (back splash) or installation of cabinets, counters or appliances. They dealt fairly well initially with small changes, although I suspect they had underbid the job, since reasonable requests for changes were less cheerfully accepted as time went on. Rather than say that a particular change would cost more, they made the change but with reluctance.
The guys had so much difficulty the instructions for installing Haefele [sp/?] hardware for under the corner cabinets (Scandanavian-designed pull-outs, fairly expensive) that my son and husband finally took over and finished the job for them. The hardware was part of the original plan for the kitchen.
As the job neared the end, the guys left me a stack of backsplash tile and some grout, and I tiled a section of the opposite kitchen wall under the cabinets myself.
The only holdup in the work that I was aware of was that the manufacturer of the countertops only made certain front-edge shapes once or twice a month;, we had to wait for the counters before cabinets could be installed, etc. When the countertop finally arrived, it was perfect - fit to within 1/8 inch!
The job was completed by June 1 as I recall. The overall results were spectacular and we were quite pleased. The kitchen was shown as part of a house tour for kitchen renovations.

The work went very well. At over 8 weeks this was a very long project, but the Ventura's were very pleasant to work with and were extremely talented craftsmen with attention to detail.
